i am. i like his power and precision, his last fight was one involving great punching technique from both fighters, and have said many times i want the world title fight to happen. he just has that slightly drawn look about him.

i'm just making the comparison to dean francis, another precise power puncher (with a slightly slow pace), who was in one hell of a fight - and that was it. razor sharp one fight and never the same again.

this is a nice comeback, and i really hope it goes somewhere. if he has hatton and sky behind him, then this is a good boost. he has a chance of doing much better in a world title fight than the likes of lockett and jennings who did not beat any contenders en route to title fights.

rhodes fortunately doesn't have any problems with the shoulder on his power-side, which is a massive difference.

yeah. also, francis was coming down from cruiser. whereas rhodes has been doing lihgt middle quite consistently.

I actually don't think its a last hurrah.i actually think he has now reached his peak -punching harder than ever, more ring savy, more composed in the ring.I think he has an excellent chance of world title honours.

twentysix, I was re-reading 'on the ropes' again the other day, and forgive me if I have asked this before, but did Mick Mills really punch has hard as everyone suggests he did? I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times at amatuer shows, and he is a lovely bloke -could'nt have been friendlier and more supportive.I hope you are well too +Ryan.

easily he would beat chavez jr and duddy, i'd think.

re power. francis has better power at 175 than rhodes at 160, if we put them above their prime weights, though.

I think it's fair to say Ryan is powerful at Light Middle but stepping up to Middle the power did not tell as much.
He was often facing opposition weighing well over 12 stone come fight night at Middle.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I often wonder how his career would have panned out if he'd remained at Light Middle in late 1997 onwards.
Anyway that's where he is now so time to show.
