Froch for me, I think he'll be too strong and walk Kessler down before stopping him late

I reckon Kessler will probably stop Froch. Got some coco-nuts Froch like but I think Kessler hits as hard, maybe harder, and is better.

The only way Froch could ever beat Kessler in three rounds was if he was shot, so it would be a fair assessment. You'd have to be crazy to think Froch would KO a prime Kessler in such a short time when it took him much longer to beat Taylor, Magee, Dirrell, Pascal, Reid, etc.

I like Froch's chances a lot in this one, but that may have to do with the assumption that Kessler isn't what he used to be. That assumption is based off his fight with Ward though, and stylistically Ward is a 180 in comparison to Froch. If Kessler has indeed slowed down, I think Froch will come on strong as the rounds progress and do enough to take a decision or even wear Kessler down for a very late stoppage. Body punching could be the key.

If Kessler is as good as he ever has been, I expect him to use his superior technical abilities to win a fair decision. His more precise punches will land frequently as Froch's poor defense lets them slip by, and he will be able to cover up and avoid Froch's slow punches on most occasions.

Was speaking to a boxing manager who suspects he is - I do not think so and think it is going to be some fight.

I don't think Froch will decision Kessler, but I do think he has the desire to break him down and stop him.

However, I wouldn't stake a great amount on it.

Froch always eats right hands... but Kessler it seems hasn't got one anymore. Go watch Sartison vs Kessler round 1.. Kessler throws about 40 left hands for every 1 right hand. Wheras Jermain Taylor was throwing as many right hands and left hands.

Kessler also gets really badly rocked in the opening round too (08.10 in video)

-watch kessler win tomorrow with a big right hand now :D

Wow, I hadn't seen that before! I have no idea why Sartison didn't follow up with anything considering how bad Kessler was rocked. Froch isn't going to make the same mistake if that happens.

Kessler by stoppage.

Sartison did wobble him, but personally I thought it was more of a balance thing, and thats why he didn't follow it up that much. Sartison did try to follow it up initially, but Kessler recovered quickly.

One thing I think Kessler has deteriorated in since the Calzaghe fight is his defence. Its definately not as tight as it used to be. He's as quick though, and I think still has the power. The right hand observation is a good one, used to be Mikkel's best punch (remember the Haussler KO). However, I haven't heard much of an arm/shoulder/hand injury - I think its been a tactical thing.

I dont believe Kessler is a better fighter than Pascal or Taylor and think Carl will be well prepared for this. Froch by UD.

I've been at the Nottingham Arena for the last 3 fights Carl has had there, but I can't help but think this will be a Kessler win, probably a UD. I sincerely hope I'm wrong though.

This really is a tough one to call, the thing is I think one of them is going to win it quite easily I just don't know who :witzend:

I've had a punt on Froch at 6/4 seen as I cannot pick a winner I went for the bigger price of the 2.

I think Kessler might be a bit open to Froch's uppercut and if he can land that clean then it'll be goodnight Kessler. I think Kessler by decision is what I would bet on though.

A true 50/50 fight, Kessler may well be on the slide but Froch is fighting away from home and will be nervous. If this was in Nottingham i would pick Froch but it's in Denmark so the prdiction is,

Kessler split Decision Win.

Kessler UD.

Froch will start too slow and despite taking last few rounds wont be enough. In other words if Froch starts slow he'll lose :(
