Did this October 4, 1981 fight actually happen? It's not listed in the 86-87 ring record book under either Tubbs' or Sims' records. AND there's no other fights listed on a card in Newport, VA that day. Tubbs was 7-0 going in. It seems a little early in his career to fight someone as dangerous as Sims.

This fight is listed in copies of Pugilato , it is almost definitely incorrect and should be removed
