Incorrect.
He lost to Taylor but got lucky, he lost to Dirrell but got lucky, he lost to Kessler pretty convincingly.
He has no defence, no boxing skills, no ring craft, just a strong chin who swings wildly like a drunk coming out of a pub.
He got found out last night but it was only a matter of time.
When did Froch lose to Taylor?? A fight is over 12 rounds and if I remember correctly Froch stopped Taylor in the 12th round in one of the best finishes I have ever witnessed.
He got lucky. Was behind all all the judges scorecards. Taylor lost it on his fitness rather than Froch winning.

Really...must have been something other than Carl Froch throwing them punches eh?

How exactly did Taylor end up knackered? Develop a debilitating disease during the fight or maybe it was constant pressure from Carl which tired Taylor out.

Rumours are Froch and Hennessy are close to splitting anyway.
Well, he can pull circa 4k in Nottingham. Respectable by most standards...

He's a minor regional draw who has no country-wide support. I think he'll walk away from this tournament round about the same time he learns how to throw a left hook without spinning around completely in a circle.

Makes me laugh when people say that a 12th round ko when behind on scorecards is lucky ,
it no different in a last minuate winner in football it all part of the game.
It anit over till it's over
Wow is Froch's warrior spirit dying already, straight after his first defeat?
this is a hard one to call as both are on a pretty level playing field. However, one idea I have is that maybe Abraham should get home advantage as he is leading the tournament with 3pts to Carl's 2. I think that's a pretty fair way to settle it!

He didn't get lucky. He was cool as a cucumber at the finish and once Taylor was hurt for the first time he never stood a chance.

I'll second that.
The Tayor victory showed Froch to have terrific composure and mental strength. The KO was no fluke.
Have to be humble enough to state - I have heard some of the rumours that have been stated on this thread - I still believe or should I state would like to believe Froch will not leave Hennessy.

Spot on - with only one belt not being tied up in the super six - froch would be taking a big gamble trying to take the belt off Bute (which he would be the underdog), if he doesnt win the belt his career would effectively be over for the next two years until the other belts are freed up again.
Apart from that noone outside nottingham and boxing fans even know who he is in the UK, he's better known in the EU and US and im guessing he's not massively famous there either.

Noone denies he has heart or a great chin but he was getting schooled throughout the taylor fight until the last ten seconds. 9 out of 10 fights the knockout wouldnt have come and froch would have lost on points.

But it was the one out of 10 and the knockout did come so Froch didn't lose on points.
Why can't you just accept you're wrong instead of trying to justify your position which has already been completely discredited. All you're doing here is making yourself look foolish by talking in hypotheticals - the number of fight results we could 'reinvent' if we adopted that position highlights quite how ridiculous your stance is.

We'll see how far his luck stretches........ Oh!
And here's another idiot post to match the last one. At the end of the day, when Froch retires he'll have a KO victory over a former world middleweight king and a close points loss to a three-time world champ regarding as one of the best super-middles ever. What shame is there in that?
This board does my head in at times. In Froch we've got a world-class fighter who's been willing to walk the walk in a way few fighters do - he went to war and convincingly beat a current world light-heavy belt holder; for his first defence he didn't take a soft touch, he went into Taylor's back yard and knocked him out. Most recently, he went into Kessler's backyard and gave an honorable account of himself. Yet people on here still want to ridicule the guy and try to downplay his attitude and achievements. Sad.
If Froch were to win, then it would need to be in Nottingham. The fans there were great for Dirrell and would be louder and more fanatical if Abraham came to England. But unless Abraham isn't effected by the crowd then he will KO Froch. If it's in Germany with the shite crowds then that will have a big adverse effect on Carl and he will get hurt. But if they have shook on it then go back, then I wouldn't blame Froch for pulling out.
Froch has only got himself to blame on this one. This is a multi-million dollar business, not a bet over a pint, if there was an agreement to have the fight in Nottingham, it should be in a binding, written contract not a handshake.
The lack of business acumen shown by some of the so-called "money people" in this game never ceases to amaze me.
This defeat doesn't mean much for Froch. Yes, he lost he title and unbeaten record, but we all knew he was going to get out-boxed sooner or later. He's like a bigger version of Magarito. Anyone with a jab, speed, good chin and the ability to go 12 rounds would give him a war.

exactly. loads of people on here (like me) were predicting a late Froch KO for exactly those, symptomatic as far as Taylor went, reasons.
Why on earth are some people saying Froch was "exposed"? He lost a close, hard-fought contest against a highly-touted former champion who enjoyed fantastic home support. Froch isn't one of those fighters who's terrified of losing. He has consistently taken risks in an age of pampered, risk-averse "celebrity" sportsmen.

it was really sad that froch was ridiculed for even calling out taylor, as well.
props to froch, he had 2 super 6 calibre fights before the super 6 even started.
only andre ward seems to be beyond criticism right now. but when someone cracks that weak chin, we'll see how his reputation goes down.
