Brits dominate Europe

Post by Neri »

Enzo Maccarinelli's EBU cruiserweight title win in Russia now makes it UK fighters now hold 10 of the European titles. John Murray can make that eleven.

Harrison, Maccarinelli, Cleverly, Magee, Barker, Rhodes, Hatton, McCloskey, Munroe, McDonnell.

Proof that British Boxing is thriving. :box:

Yeah, you're right, slap. No Scots up there. We mean English, Welsh and Ulstermen.

I've heard the SNP are thinking of making a legal challenge to the EBU for disenfranchising their fighters.

Plus the winner of Buckland and Murray next week! Is 11 at one time a record?

Cleverly would have a good chance of beating Shumenov.

you nevr know. shumenov has looked bad vs good comp. cleverly has looked great vs (in relative terms) weak comp. they've had very different learning curves and you can never tell who will come out of it the more mature, complete professional.

shumenov will be feeling lucky, and he'll also be stung by the criticism and controversy. he might be outstanding in his next fight, vs that uvelkov bloke. the russian or ukrainian who destroyed campillo (the campillo who was unlucky vs shumenov in that robbery of the year fight.) what a chance shumenov has to move on from campillo.

Cleverly could. Depends on opposition of course but Munroe and McCloskey could with the wind blowing in the right direction. I like Barker too, despite his recent struggle.
