I am wondering about the following comments:
"Powell constantly claiming low blows (acting) looking for DQ-W, but referee wasn’t born yesterday."
"De Milo down in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & twice in 4th, but not in any difficulty" (De Milo was KO'd in the 6th).
I haven't seen the fights, but:
Is it a good friend or a fan of De Milo, who are writing this stuff? Knocked down in 4 consecutive rounds a total of 5 times, without being "in any diffyculty"???
Frankie de Milo
The way you write it, it clearly indicates that it was bogus knockdowns. When a fighter is down, he is in difficulty! "Any difficulty" means "any diffyculty" and not what you are claiming: big trouble and close to being stooped.
"Powell constantly claiming low blows (acting) looking for DQ-W, but referee wasn’t born yesterday." Well, in a resultsdatabase, use more standardized terms than "but the referee wasn't born yesterday". It stands out as a VERY subjective comment and therefore unthrustworthy in such a database.

Last night’s (18/3) summary
De Milo vs. Powell (Hayes). What a shit fight. Thank heavens Brad Vocale was the third man in the ring. De Milo wanted to box and Powell wanted to brawl. Powell's idea of fighting is to charge in throwing a couple of wild ones grappling and trying to throw an opponent to the canvas or push him through the ropes. Frankie got him quite a good one in the jewels, which was purely accidental, as all he was doing was try to fight back when Powell was literally imitating an octopus on him. This showed up the crybaby side of Powell who carried on like a spoiled brat. Ref Vocale had to talk to both fighters quite a lot to try and make it a boxing match in lieu of a no rules bar brawl. After claiming a couple more nut cruncher punches from Frankie, which were more on the top of the guard, whinging to Vocale and dummy spitting in general Ref told Powell to fight to his (Ref’s) rules ‘cos if he continued to fight his (Powell's) way he would DQ him. Unsure what Powell’s comment was to Vocale, but whatever it was it was enough to cause the DQ.

What purpose does "but not in difficulty whereupon the Ref could/should have stopped the fight" serve? De Milo was KOed in the 6th.AntonS wrote:It is I who inserted the info. He wasn’t in any difficulty whereupon the referee could wave it off.
I do know him, as I do most of Queensland’s boxers, but I wouldn’t say he would consider me to be his friend.
I was present at both fights.
What's wrong with just having the info "Vacant Australian Featherweight Title - De Milo down in 1st, 2nd, 3rd & twice in 4th."? That's the way it looks on all other fighters in the BoxRec database.
The De Milo vs Powell fight is also very badly written. Stuff like that should not be posted as part of fighters' records. If the information is necessary, it should be written in a more objective form, like:
"Powell repeatedly claiming low blows, not acknowledged by the referee"

Thanks for your input.
To date I haven’t had any complaints in relation to my comments from Aussie cow-pocking hillbillies, and therefore I’m reluctant to take any notice from leather- short- pants wearing yodelers....spelling????
Just joking. I’ll have another look at my comments
P.S. I was born in Slovenia
Cheers!
