Floyd Mayweather is an Appalling Human Being

I do rate the De La Hoya win as a decent win because IMO very few fighters from welter/lightmiddle would have beaten Oscar but anyone who knows their boxing will know that it wasn't the best version of Oscar there's been.

He might have been given the decision but he never 'won'.

I had a hunjy on Oscar to win with a big Mayweather fan (I too am a big DeLaHoya fan ), we watched the fight together, after the decision I pulled the C note out of my pocket and my mate rejected it, saying he couldn't take my money as Mayweather didn't really win.
My old trainer, a local judge and referee, said he had scored the fight whilst watching it and he had DeLaHoya ahead, I know judging a fight is a subjective thing and your opinion is as valid as mine, but as long as my arse points to the ground I'll give DeLaHoya the win.

I just think he's an immature, insecure brat and when you look at his dad and uncle Roger as his main influences in his life it's no wonder he's turned out the way he has. Exceptional talent but an absolute prat and no I don't rate him anywhere near as highly as some of the shills on here do, his best win was over a semi-retired fighter who was some way past his best, hardly the sign of greatness is it?

Roy Jones Jnr - Greatest boxer of the modern era - alot better than Floyd
Julio Cesar Chavez - would probaly have favoured a prime Chavez to beat Floyd
Don Curry
Terry Norris
Ricardo Lopez
etc

All them above fighters seriously talented fighters of the last 25 years ........

Whats all this nonesnce about Floyd is the greatest talent ever witnnessed in a ring - all I can say to that is you could not have watched too much boxing over the years

Floyd reminds me a lot of Pernell Whittaker - he's a defense first fighter, who likes to frustrate his opponents, but Pernell fought a lot more often, and at a higher level of competition over a very long career. Whittaker got shafted against Ramirez and Chavez, with those two results reversed, he would have had a resume that pissed all over Mayweather - who has cherry picked his opponents ever since he moved up to 140 and above.

Like mentioned earlier, even a faded DLH almost got him, the version that fought hammer and tongs with Mosley for 12 rounds would have beaten him, as would that version of Mosley.

Me either, it was a clear decision for Shane, the judges had it much closer than I did. Oscar faded over the second half of the fight badly, and lost out. He also stopped jabbing, and it was the jab that was doing all the work.

mosley knowingly took a banned substance to gain an advantage over his opponent.
