Horse, hate to bring it up again but where is Paul Smith? You have dropped three lads out of the list and still can't find room for him. Surely he deserves to be there more than Craig Watson? He has won and defended the British title against two very live opponents, is ranked top 5 in EBU and top 20 by at least two of the world bodies, surely has to count for something?

Also a bit strange that Dunne climbs a place despite being retired.

Will Ricky start dropping now that it's nearly a year since his last fight?

Overall, good job and thanks :TU:

Horse - how is Harrison ranked ahead of Sexton and McCkloskey?

You cannot really claim that Sprott was among the best Heavyweights in Europe.

Sexton beat Rogan twice.... what happened when Audley face Rogan.... and Sprott's has done nothing of note since losing big to Skelton.

You've always held the EBU title in good regard, except with McCkloskey.... and you justified the lowly ranking of McCloskey cause of his opponents and not the title..... but Harrison won a vacant title against some who has hardly fought.

I considered Quigley and Dodson to be fairly weak opposition at British title level.

Smith didn't fight last month so he was never likely to enter this month, especially with two unranked fighters winning European titles. Watson won the Commonwealth title last month, so he was in a better position than Smith to enter the rankings this month.

Dunne climbed a place because I took Woods out of the rankings.
Deno1986 wrote:Will Ricky start dropping now that it's nearly a year since his last fight?
If Froch had beaten Kessler then Hatton would have dropped a place this month. Hatton is unlikely to fall down the rankings very fast as only Haye, Froch and Khan have much of an argument for being above him at the moment.

I'm liking your list alot more month on month, well done :TU:

I think Hide look good enough for enclusion on the list and Enzo should have been close to Afolabi (even if that means moving Ola up based on Enzo's performance  )

Sexton beat Rogan twice when Rogan was ranked in the top 30 P4P.

Watson has a win over Hatton who is now in the top 30 P4P and he has also beaten Nuumbembe who would have been in the top 30 at the time, if he was British.

Smith has not beaten any top 30 P4P fighters past or present.

Smith has a decent case for inclusion in the rankings, but it is only at about the same level as the case for other fighters at the bottom of the rankings. I chose not to include him, I don't think my opinion is unreasonable.

Haskins was at the bottom of the list when I decided to enter Watson so he fell out. Haskins is the British and Commonwealth champion, so he will probably re-enter the rankings when he makes his next defence.

I disagree.

Matthew Hatton has been on a good run of form beating Tackie, Bami and Branco as well as a draw with N'dou.

I entered Hatton into the rankings last month after he won the European title and I decided to put him just above Cook, as Cook had been inactive for over a year.

This month I decided against entering Maccarinelli or Harrison above him as I didn't feel the opponents they beat for the European title were as good as Branco. I also thought that Hatton had been on better form than them prior to their European title fights.

If you are referring to Moore then I took him out because he lost to Khomitski as well as retiring. If he had just announced his retirement without fighting Khomitski then I would have left him in the rankings for a few months.

Booth has fallen 6 places in the last 2 months, mostly because so many fighters that were ranked below him have won European titles.

Booth should be getting his own European title shot soon, so I can give him a better position then.

Murray was ranked 12th in Novemer after his last win. He has not fought since October, so it is to be expected that he would fall a few places in that time, especially with all of the new European champions.

If Murray wins the European championship this month then he will climb up quite a few places.

McCloskey far too low and Harrison too high.

Barker at 14 and Andy Lee not on the list - despite both fighters facing the same fighter in the last bout and Lee battering him and Barker on the wrong end of a battering - says it all.

Irish guy wins a European title and they might scrap into the top 30 - British guy does and he goes into the top 15. I wont be posting on this load of bollocks again.

Harrison is the European champion that is how is manages to be above Sexton. Sexton keeps pulling out of fights against Williams, so he is now close to the bottom of the rankings. Should I not have entered Harrison into the rankings at all because Sexton has a low ranking?

McCloskey hasn't fought since November and his recent opposition has been fairly poor. He can't reserve a place in the top 20 whilst he fights either relatively low level opposition or doesn't fight at all.

When McCloskey first won the Euroepan title he moved to No.18 in the rankings, the same as Harrison. I don't see how McCloskey's European title win was not shown the same respect as other European champion's wins.

I consider a win over Sprott to be better than a win over Rasilla, so I don't think Harrison has been shown more favour than McCloskey.
