This is a movement :TU:

It would be cool if this ever did pan out and we could have a live boxrec league on the go where we all had different fighters and had to organise shows amongst ourselves, bid against each other for out of contract fighters and amateur stars turning pro!

As you would expect it was very basic. To be honest i don't remember how much career control you had i just remember i think it was more like theboxinggame online thing where you control your boxers stats, climb the rankings and then you would watch your fights play out between two stick figures.

You can download and play it here with an emulator here http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek ... oadpics=on

Anyone know about these?

:D Great, i remember that game. And i also had a stock car manager game as well.
I was best at Jet pack though. Thats my Monday evening sorted now

that would be great , i can just imagine how competitive a game for boxrec'ers would be too as we all think we are experts  .
if it had real boxers like football manager has real footballers it would be really good fun , no doubt posters on here who are actual fighters would sign themselves and try to guide themselves to a world title , or some of them would complain there not as good in the game as they think they should be

for £2.50 its worth a quick go on it , i saw it advertised 6 months before it was released here , as it was originally only available in germany , i pre ordered it a couple of weeks before it was released and was delighted when i received it 3 days early , by the actual release date id stopped playing it . waste of £30.

Rather than everyone having sign up to the Sega SI site forums why not put a link there that refers back to a post on boxRec (most real boxing fans are members here).

Joined the facebook as well.

IT WOULD BE POINTLESS , simply because sega know everyone on here will support it as its a boxing forum , they will want to know how many gamers are imterested.

Sorry mate I have played it and thought it sucked. Your fighter starts his career boxing 12 rounders. Things like that annoy me. You might enjoy it tho, I hope you do.
I have that game and its awful but you may enjoy it though :)

There was a great boxing game / simulation available for the PC around 2000 or 20001, cant remember precisely but it knocked ten shades purple out of Ultimate Boxing Manager and Title Bout Boxing manager. It was called World Championship Boxing Manager (no not the old C64 / Amiga one) - http://download.chip.eu/en/World-Champi ... 62535.html

Thing is its a demo that only runs for 5 logins or 5 days whichever comes sooner. You need to buy a key and then your set. Thing is the company went bust and I have fruitlessly been trying to a key for years and years. I like it, as it was a very very deep game, just cant get a key for it :(

Maybe someone might have better luck? If so, please please let me know :TU:
