Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
post fight blood tests are outdated, if something like hgh was to be used in camp leading up to the fight it could be totally untraceable after.

how do you know this???how does mayweather know thismchuffy wrote:post fight blood tests are outdated, if something like hgh was to be used in camp leading up to the fight it could be totally untraceable after.
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
It's called science... these chemicals occur naturally in a given range in the body, so the only way to pick it up is shortly after they are put in, otherwise they get absorbed by the organs/tissue that use them?
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
ive read it in several places when all this drug testing thing started, quite intersting stuff really, beleive me i dont know through use, although i am pretty ripped for a 6ft guy weighing 9-1/2 stone lol
DD i dont think manny is on anything but believe rdt would be for the good of the sport and these top pros should be leading the way
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
The problem with that is simple.
If Pacman wins the fight by KO and steamrolls Floyd and then gets back to the dressing room and says "I don't want to take the blood test", who is going to enforce it? Are they going to subdue Pacquiao and then take the test? What about his 50 man entourage? Pacman could just as easily say that he doesnt want to take the test, has nothing to prove, he just KO'd Floyd etc. And his fans would defend it.

Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
Manny Pac is in danger of losing all respect, seriously- its a master stroke by the mayweathers. Not only is Pac under pressure to take the fight, he's also under huge pressure to perfrom exactly as he has done whilst moving through the weight. Personally i'm not sure of the Pac situation anymore, his body is unbelievalble considering he's added nearly 30% onto his bodyweight- and its lean muscle mass. You just wonder.
His training is incredible by all accounts, I read somewhere that he consumes 8000 Calories a day when in training.

Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
Manny has always been a steroid free athlete. If Mayweather doesent agree to a 14 day cut off point for bood testing and then a blood test straight after the fight then Floyd clearly dosen't want any part of the Pacman!
While speaking with Manny Pacquiao in his home in General Santos City Philippines. Manny Pacquiao made this Official Statement for his website http://mpboxing.com .
I AM WILLING TO TAKE BLOOD TESTS, JUST NOT THE DAY OF THE FIGHT.
I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as, my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test.
I do not want anyone having an unfair advantage where someone may get hurt. I am willing to do my part to help this sport out.
When asked what did he think about the fight? Manny Pacquiao replied, "I have not seen the fight yet."
Manny Pacquiao is campaigning for Congressman during this time in his life, but we will keep you updated on further progress for his next upcoming fight.
Manny Pacquiao also stated, he is willing to take blood immediately after the fight in his locker room "No problem." Manny just does not want to take blood right before the fight, as he feels that may hurt the fighter, if not physically, maybe mentally.

There is more to it than that I believe. Here's some things i've picked up on over the course of the argument.exittored wrote:

Erythropoietin or EPO is a cream that is given to patients with renal failure who cannot produce their own red blood cells. Give it to someone who is natural and their red blood cell count jumps up by 60-70% and turns them into a machine that can train as hard in the 20th round and they did in the 1st.
I've seen some dorks posting photo's of manny and depicting his weight on fight night over the years - but they are too dense to realise that we're not discussing body-building type steroids that would have no benefit to boxing. The discussion focuses on Performance Enhancing Drugs... massive difference to steroids.
Think about times when you have been p*ssed on a saturday night and then tried to go the gym or play football. It's hard and the fatigue kicks in dramatically. Imagine playing sport after a healthy previous week of good food, plenty of rest and a great night's sleep and compare your performance to the previous hang over attemtp. Now take then difference in performance and increase it not once, not twice, but about 5 times and then your comparing it along the same lines as being 'enhanced'.
Manny Pacquiao was being out-slugged, out-boxed and generally out-fought by a washed up Eric Morales - Marquez walked through most of what he threw and arguably beat him each time they fought (he won more rounds across all the cards).
Then this guy moves up to 135 and smashed tough but limited Diaz, then he absolutely pole-axed Ricky Hatton at 140lb and then dusted a skeletal Oscar, before trouncing Miguel Cotto at 147lb. It's simply not stacking up.
Freddie Roach was Toney's trainer both times he got busted for fighting on roid's.
Manny's previous conditioner was busted for post-fight roids and was also a strong-man champion, roided to the gills.
He turned down $40m fight with Mayweather over some tests, despite Floyd agreeing to a $1m per lb weight clause.
They were happy to do the nevada tests, but Balco lab's Victor Conte, the steroid guru declared publcily that he can swerve all manner of drugs past their system.
He said only the random olympic-level testing would be in with a chance of detecting the latest chemicals being used by athletes.
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
Well put argument and the more I think about this situation the more I have my own personal doubts, something is not right and the performances since moving up from Super-Feather and Lightweight almost beggar belief, perhaps Manny is a phenom and I really hope he is but I find myself fence sitting and I would not have thought that a year ago.G0mez wrote:There is more to it than that I believe. Something don't add up for me and when you see what can be concealed these days you do start to wonder.
Thinks someone needs to get hold of this fight and dictate tests for both parties that make the results crystal clear and just get the fight on, 20-30 million each, you have to be mad or something else to turn this fight down.
Its not only a career definining situation but its a life changing fight and security for both men, why would you not fight?

Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
the testing pbf wants should be how its done anyway , for ALL world title and big non title bouts .
Personally though , im not sure how much either fighter wants the fight otherwise , with the money on offer etc , it would have been a done deal by now .

Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
I agree all big fights should be subjected to these kinds of tests.. I credit Mayweather for doing it and demanding it too!! I don't care who you are or how rich you are you can't pass up a pay day like tis over some testing issues!!
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
there is one thing that stacks up, however. hatton and clottey had been at their weights for too long (clottey had already been up to 154) and were likely both tight at the weight. cotto certainly depleted himself going catchweight and DLH probably killed himself doing catchweight. i believe he's been fighting guys that are stale due to the rigors of weight making.G0mez wrote:There is more to it than that I believe. whether or not he's on something to boot, i don't know. he and his team look like complete pricks, especially fighting in texas where they don't test for PEDs unless there is reason to (and there certainly was a reason to), straight after all the controversy.
Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
You would need a lot more than the fourteen (non testing) day lead up to the fight to gain any advantage using HGH, which, along with testosterone and EPO, in small, yet significant, doses wouldn't show up during testing.mchuffy wrote:post fight blood tests are outdated, if something like hgh was to be used in camp leading up to the fight it could be totally untraceable after.

Be careful with what you eat, guys with your body type are more susceptible to heart conditions bought on by an unhealthy diet.mchuffy wrote:i dont know my bmi, whats the best way to find out? i must have some rare matabolism because i eat like a horse, full english every morning before 10am to start the day, my siblings are the same.ive tried everything lol edit bmi 18.0Jesus wrote:wow your 6 foot and only 9 1/2 stone? im 6 foot 1 and im 13 1/2 stone (9% body fat), whats your bmi mate as your starting to make me think im overweight LOLmchuffy wrote:ive read it in several places when all this drug testing thing started, quite intersting stuff really, beleive me i dont know through use, although i am pretty ripped for a 6ft guy weighing 9-1/2 stone lolDD i dont think manny is on anything but believe rdt would be for the good of the sport and these top pros should be leading the way

Re: if manny paq takes a blood test right after the fight
If Pacman ko's Floyd, Floyd would never be the same again. To then be tested positive (if that were the case) would be a hideous travesty that could have been avoided. I'd say that would be a major reason why you wouldn't wait until after the event.
