Briggs has been looking for the last payday for years.
Actually in all seriousness, I would give Briggs more of a chance than I gave Ruiz. Slow, ponderous, big questionable stamina - but has serious power. Not THAT bad a chin, but again - one of the bigger punchers around.
I agree with stu. It's easy to pick apart this match up given Briggs' age, inactivity and erratic performances, but I wouldn't take my eyes from it for a second. I'd be much more interested in this fight than one with plodmeister Solis.
This is always funny in boxing.... everyone calls out the champ.... even guys like Briggs who are way down the pecking order.
Much like Audley calling out Haye! .... and which CONTENDERS have you beaten recently Audley?
Guys like these who are currently pitching balls at Grade 'C' level are probably just doing it to whir up some publicity form themselves so people dont forget them
haye way way too fast for him mr haye would beat the shit out of him and briggs stamina is very shoddy his only chance would be to get very lucky very early! haye by k.o inside 8 rounds imo!!

Yeah Briggs has always had stamina problems, I believe he has asthma. Considering he does have asthma, he's done very well.
