HOF VOTE: SAV THE MANAGER

Sav has been a great manager this season. He has managed HOF fighter Tiger Jack Fox who dominated this season and was the first undisputed world champion I believe. He also has managed Archie Moore who after a bad start finally came good and became the world champion.

Sav state your case as you will be far more familiar with the stats and opponents such as number of title defences and such.

I'm not doing a poll because some dodgy fuckers try to manipulate it with other usernames.

Should Sav enter the BoxRecSim Hall Of Fame?

My vote is a Yes. Don't let past rivalries cloud your vote. Vote on merit, achievement and contribution to the sim world.

I think Fox case is there to be made.

Sav has been a great manager this season. He has managed HOF fighter Tiger Jack Fox who dominated this season and was the first undisputed world champion I believe.

Indeed... Tiger Jack Fox has become something of a legend around these parts...

To me, the most impressive thing about him is his early record:
21 straight victories in a row.
22 fights undefeated.

The fact that he is a 2 time undisputed champion is somewhat tainted due to the fact that others have also achieved it...

But, in his first 22 fights, it inspired peoples imaginations like no other boxer...
Some even though he'd become the first boxer to clock a perfect season.

On a sidenote, Fox has impressed me since his first loss:
He went downhill in a big way:
Week 23: L UD Bob Foster (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO Titles)
Week 24: L TKO7 Harry Greb
Week 25: L TKO8 Jack Dillon
3 fights in a row...
(I put it down to a drink problem )

THEN, after those losses he regained his hunger for the fight...
Winning 6 consecutive fights and regaining the Undisputed title.

THEN, after losing to Rosenbloom and (rather devastingly to Jones JR) he's won 5 fights in a row to a good standard of opposition...

It seems the old saying: YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN relates here.

Is would be a simcrime if Fox is not entered into the Hall of Fame.
FOX is a certainty.

Sav's reputation as a Hall Of Famer is assured because of the way he has turned Moore's failing season round to make Moore a champion of every world title...
That is a fantastic achievement in itself.

Well then consider what he did to Moore - took him from a chump to a champ.

The great Collapzo remains the only undefeated record in Sim History. Crease, you have not done your homework. SAV has however equaled the GBP milestone of having both fighters achieve unified championships in a single season. And for that he should be given credit. I would slate such credit for around 10 years after he passes away.
