Tszyu may not be coming!

Post by KingLevinsky »

"Kostya Tszyu’s manger Matt Watt says its going to take a lot more than the $5 million on offer for his man to fly across to England and defend his IBF light welterweight title against Ricky Hatton. Press speculation about a Tszyu/’Hitman’ showdown in 2005 continues to dominate the boxing headlines and now Watt has added a new twist with his latest demands. Talking to the Daily Telegraph Watt said, "They get pay-per-view revenues out of the UK which will be enormous and the MEN Arena in Manchester will be chockablock. What the promoters have to do is show the champion why he should fight at four in the morning in the other guy's backyard.”

Hatton vs. N'dou for vacant title methinks.

It would go to a purse bid first. :TU:
That would mean an “allegedly” pull out (Hatton-Harris),
a likely GoldenBoy winning bid Image & Lirva laughing all the way to the bank.

That quote was made before the fight was announced, not recent.

If money is the only thing going to stop this fight, then KT should get the lions share of the profit so it does happen. But on the other hand i'm a big fan fan of KT so i dont really care if he gets out of this fight because their are other better and bigger fights for KT.

Thanks for your concern old friend. I was in Colorado skiing when you posted this. Actually dont get to visit the board as much as I used to because my work pc is set up to only use Mozilla and the board stopped working with this browser but I still log in using IE occasionally from home.

Never fear, I'm going nowhere. Anytime you want to double the bet let me know.

Meanwhile I hope you are working hard at your paper round
