Battling Sikis grave

I may be wrong but I could swear I read sometime in the 80s or 90s that Battling Sikis remains were moved to either France or Senegal. Im not positive about this but it might bare looking into.

an interesting question this. I think Senegal would be likely as the French were glad to see the back of him. However he may have gone to france if his wife/relatives - who he left - wanted some sweet revenge.

or the US govt deported him at last - most others did. the comment always comes to mind that he was arrested in every language

No I mean I read that his remains were removed posthumously in the 80s or 90s, 60 or 70 years after his death and taken back to either Senegal or France, I think it was Sengegal. Again, I could be entirely wrong about this but I could swear Ive read that in one of my older magazines.
