So allegedly cannot tell an ancient Greek helmet from an ancient Roman helmet?

Looks like the election is not the only thing confusing the English.

For those that are good at math(s), Kev's ring walk is 22:00 here. Fight starts at 22:15.

Weather permitting.

How's a poor promoter to tell the difference between a Corinthian & a Galea?

& anyway, I always thought that Michael "The Hoplite" Katsidis had a bit of a cool ring to it, meself...

i want Kat to win for more than one reason. But i have to admit that right up there, towards to top of the list, is being able to enter the british forum and state that "as usual you blokes over-rate all your fighters....etc...etc". I just hope we beat them in the cricket as well. However, if it goes the other way, I might stay away from here for a couple of days.

Cheeky. :P

I'm finding myself unable to call a winner for this. Katsidis is bigger, probably stronger, has a brilliant work rate and plenty of stamina to boot. Mitchell is faster, more fluid, more awkward and *I think* more skilful. Both can punch, both can take a punch, both are very tough.

Mitchell showed real quality against Prescott, and I think could take it up another level, which he'll need to, as Katsidis is a level above Prescott.

I can't wait for the fight. It's going to be really good no matter who wins. Both boxers seem like really nice people, as well.

What were those turds chanting?

"There's only one Kevin Mitchell?" How many do they want? Only one can get in the ring.

I hope Katsidis wins tonight -- he's a brave brave boy & I've seen him fight live before versus Earl.

I love his fight-anyone attitude & the fact that he left his country to fight the top boys in his division. Plus, I know for a fact that should he win, he'll be back in with a top Mexican/Yank within six months. He's just that sort of bloke.

Good luck Michael, from someone in the UK.

PS: Toppo, can you not just PM oliverfennel rather than do that in the British forum? I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Obviously he did not have a "Newnes Pictorial Knowledge" children's encyclopedia that was around in the '50s. All of that stuff was in them. They were published in England.
