Hi,

Just wondered if anyone knows what Gareth is up too these days, after witnessing his small hall fight of the year against Henry Castle where they went toe to toe for 6 hard rounds, he seems to have dropped off the radar, 3 low key fights in 2006 and none so far this year.

I thought he would build on the Castle performance to go for at least an area shot by now. I remember Jim Evans talking him up in 2006 but now nothing.

Do you guys rate him at all? And does anyone know what's happening with him?

gareth did not have many fights after the castle fight he left jim evans and moved to sheffeld with the ingles. he was doing well, then got a hand injury witch put him out for a long time i was speaking to him last week hes in good shape now and should have a fight soon hopefully.

I have not seen him fight since his debut at York Hall, also see him a few times in the 2003 ABA’s where he lost to Kevin Mitchell in the final, one of the few to go the distance with Kevin that year.
Hard to believe that was 7 years ago. Shame he isn’t with a promoter who could keep him active.
