I don't think of including the real old time fighters here as I find it to hard to judge the puches in that old film footage. Maybe sum of them should be on here. But im explaining why I havn't.
Please list urs or critic mine.

Of all the fighters that I've watched the majority of their fights. hagler had the best chin I've seen by a significant margin. I never saw him hurt.

I agree, never out, never down, never stopped and never even hurt.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Of all the fighters that I've watched the majority of their fights. hagler had the best chin I've seen by a significant margin. I never saw him hurt.

Hes worth looking up."The Uncrowned Champ."

I hate to say it, & you'll think I'm stirring sh!t, but there is nothing between Hagler's chin & Chavez's.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Of all the fighters that I've watched the majority of their fights. hagler had the best chin I've seen by a significant margin. I never saw him hurt.

Chavez had a great chin. Not on Marvin's level for me. I've seen chavez hurt more than once, Hagler never.

The great Sandy Saddler had a terrific chin, too.

Hagler never moved up in weight, to be fair, & had so many fewer fights. Some of Chavez's, "moments" were when he was shop-worn on a level Hagler never experienced.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Chavez had a great chin. Not on Marvin's level for me. I've seen chavez hurt more than once, Hagler never.

He didn't have fewer fights against legitimate competition. He also never had day before weigh ins to suck down a weight class. I always thought Chavez was at his best at 140.
Hagler was as shopworn eating bombs from Mugabi as Chavez was when Randall was putting him on his ass.

Re: The Top 10 best CHINS
Can't agree with that, as a huge number of fights, irrespective of competition, will wear a man down. Chavez dealt with it --- comparatively speaking, Hagler didn't.
Either way, they both had superb jaws. The Lightweight Chavez was the best for me. Maybe that, & the very early Jr. Welter days.

Re: The Top 10 best CHINS
A lot of the fights were well after his best days and I don't hold any of that against him. Hagler fought better fighters, that has to count for something.
Either way, I rate Chavez chin higher than I rate his career.
Hector Camacho had a hell of a beard.
