I would agree with you but I don't know if he'll be competing is the US Championships because of the citizen rules. Which sucks for us because he proved he is the best 132lber out there, and he would be good for the international competition that will be coming around soon..and the Olympic trials I think he will tryout for the Mexican team.

I'll give this another shot! so many suprises at the gloves and i was waayyy off LOL for the most part that is but anyways here I go..

108-King Louie

114-Stephon Young..for those of you who dont him he was a great Junior boxer won multiple titles.. JO's and Jr GG, and last year domintated in a dual against Great Britain..and lost a close one to Russel at the gloves..I think he will be more focused this time around and will give Warren or any other 114 fits ..but he does have a tough test facing the akward Huitt-Johnson at the Heartland Regionals coming up..

123-James Smith..I heard he looked good at the GG's..

132- Ill have to go with the young gun Damon Allen..

141- Zeddie Adams.. If he can finnish stronger I think will win it all.

152-I think that young, tall, Alantez Fox from DC will give these guys trouble.

165- Jesse Hart from Philly..

178-Again I'm gonna go with NY's Marcus Browne..if his hand gets better I think he can take the light heavy division.

201- This divsion is open IMO since Craig Lewis from the Kronk Team moved up..Im at a toss up between Joshua Temple and Steve Geffrard.. but Geffrards boxing skills may be too much for the heavyweights..Hopefully they will meet in the finals, but Im going with Steve Geffrard

201+ - Lenroy Thompson from KC..will bounce back from his loss at the GG's and win it all.

I want to see the teams first, then I will give my top 4 in each weight class just like I did in the Golden Gloves.

If DeLeon is NOT a US citizen, he won't be competing in the U.S. Championships.

I personally don't think non-citizens should box in the Golden Gloves.

Ah, you suckered me!

114- Folly has to fight Russell in order to make it, and Huitt fights Young. The winners out of these two regional matches will in my mind give Warren the toughest match. I didn't see Huitt-Johnson or Young fight at the gloves however.
201+ I already gave his name as I think it will be Thompson from Kansas.

108- Byrd again
123- Not as talented as 132 but good names.. Magdaleno
132- Most talented division.. Duran Caferro Jr.
141- Gary Russell
152- Eddie Alicea
165- Terrell Gausha
178- Jerry Odom shhhh ... (Brant upset a lot of people, now it's Odom's turn)
201- Shimmell

This isn't my final prediction! In about 2 months this will all change I promise, just some names to look at lol

According to the National Golden Gloves.. non-citizens are not allowed to compete at the National Golden Gloves tournament for this year and next year. Erick Deleon has been cleared.

Deleon is the best 132lb in the US. Just because he wasnt born him doesnt mean hes not a american. He has lived here most of his life. We should want the best to represent the USA. But if he represents Mexico, theres no need for usa to send a 132lber to the olympics or any competitions that involves Mexico. But im almost positive he has his citizenship already, so look out! Deleon is gonna bring boxing back!

Watch for a kid out of Gary, Indiana at 178.....Wynten Ellis. Has Tyson type power and knows how to use it. All his loses are hometown decisions, cause either the opponant runs or holds on and try to run. You can't do that and pitty pat in the Nationals. You have to bring it, and this kid can bring it.
