I received this personal e-mail today from Buffalo-area researcher Robert Caico:

I seen in your post the old boxing record archive dated
8/5/01 about Labarba v.Paul fight 7/7/30. There was no
fight, i checked the Buffalo News, Buffalo Courior Express
and Buffalo Times. Ring record book has this fight 7/7/30 in
Buffalo,but nothing mentioned in local newspapers. In fact
kid Chocolate was in town for a fight then for 7/10/30. That
got alot of coverage so i'm sure the Paul fight would have
too.

Is there more than one Buffalo in the US ?

Fight was mentioned to be in Buffalo NY, Paul's hometown, per Ring Mag. But no record in Buffalo NY papers.

I don't have the July 1930 fight; as far as I know it did not take place
