A Punch I had Saved.
Charlie Griffin was the only man i knocked out in the states, but then i had been saving that punch for him, and meant to hand it to him ever since i landed and been shown the story he had given to the American Press about uor first meeting in London. He had been telling them that he had got me well beaten at the N.S.C, and that they disqualified him to save me.
So i had made up my mind that he shouldn't have any complaints to make when we met again.
I don't think that he had. I beat him to his own satisfaction, and everybodyelse's , before I put him away.

Driscoll won more than 50 professional fights in Britain before going to the United States where he crowned his achievements in 1909 by out-boxing the world featherweight champion Abe Atell in a no decision contest in which Atell's title was not on the line. But the hard-bitten American boxing writers unanimously voted Driscoll as the winner and gave him the accolade of Peerless Jim, a tribute to his skilful left hand.
Arrangements were being made for a rematch when the title would have been at stake, but Peerless Jim stunned the boxing world by opting to go home to raise money for the orphans being cared for by the good Sisters of Nazareth at their house in Cardiff.

Jim Driscoll Record - Charity work
Heres the piece about Jim and The charity work he was involved with
From Boxing June 15th 1912
The Titanic Benefit
We are nearing the date of the Rhondda Titanic Benefit-June 20th- and I am glad to say that my mission to London seems likely to bear fruit. Jean Poseys' manager told me that he would try to get his man down to the Rhondda and Young Joseph has promised me that he will be there.
Digger Stanley is also fairly certain to appear and the popular little comedian-boxer Wally Packard can also be relied on. To see Wally squirm in a dust up with Jim Driscoll is alone worth the admission fee and Wally will wind up with an acrobatic cake-walk. He is a star.
