Will Khan knock out Malignaggi?

Post by dajuggernaut »

Why or why not?

I don't think he will. Malignaggi has been in with some heavy hitters like Cotto and Hatton and while Hatton did stop him it was late in the fight and McGirt stopped it because it was one-sided not because Paulie was in any real danger. But Khan might go for the kill to put on a show because Paulie can't hurt him.

It depends on Khan's game plan. I believe he can knock out Malignaggi if he pushes for it, but he might adopt a safety first approach. So probably a decision win for Khan, but his hand speed gives him the opportunity of catching Malignaggi unaware and providing the platform for a TKO victory.

I reckon khan stops him with the ref jumping in to save paulie from more punishment.
No clean Ko though.
Probably about 6 rounds.

I don't think Khan has the strength to put Paulies lights out, an RSF maybe but look who Paulie has gone the distance with, the only person stopping him, which was not by a goodnight KO either was Hatton. Don't think Khan has the power at this weight to do it.

Of course any top boxer has a punchers chance, but thats all it is, so i'm going for NO KO by Khan, Paulies record shows he has a chin.

Khan on RSF or close decision.

I am certain he will stop him. This version of Khan will be too quick and too powerful for Paulie.

Malignaggi to get stopped by the ref whilst still on his feet in the mid rounds, having been dominated throughout, with Paulie complaining bitterly afterwards.

Khan has the power and more to the point the speed to get Malignaggi out of there, I can see him overwhelming Malignaggi in the later rounds. Khan also needs an impressive victory to build his profile in the states, I think that will be in the back of his mind.

I think Khan stops Malanaggi around 6 or 7 and thats if Malanaggi is ultra negative - if he goes looking for Khan then it could be earlier.

I hope I am wrong and I hope Khan gets stuffed.

Don't think Khan will get a clean KO but I do think he will stop him by accumulation of damage, probably late on.
