Sexton v Bayaar
Olubamiwo v Kenna
David Price
William v Chisora
Mitchell v Katsidis
DeGale v Horton
Frankie Gavin
Billy Joe Saunders
Ortiz v Campbell
Khan v Malignaggi
That's a cracking line up if you ask me. What has been your favourite Friday night / Saturday night boxing weekend? I think one of the best was 27/28th March 1998. We kicked off with Woodhall v Malinga on the Friday night, then the following evening Terry Dunstan and Paul Lloyd challenged for IBF titles on the Paul Ingle bill. Following that we crossed to the states and willed Herol Graham to try and do the unthinkable against Charles Brewer, before finishing off with the fireworks between Lennox Lewis and Shannon Briggs.
Pucker!

It's a cracking weekend. Other fights slipping under the radar include Dzinziruk making his U.S. debut against Dawson, Fragomeni and Wlodarczyk rematching for the WBC cruiserweight title, Cristobal Cruz is defending his title, and the classy Argentine Omar Narvaez is fighting as well. Julio Diaz against Herman Ngoudjo could be a cracker as well.

Another couple that stick out.
The night of Toney vs Holyfield.
We had Morales vs Espadas
What had a hell of a fight between Casamayor and Corrales
Hernadez vs Forbes
We also had a bill topped by Brian Magee on Sky and Walker vs Karmazin on the BBC.

Yeah, we'll have boxing coming out of our ears by Sunday. Proves the sport is alive a kicking.
It's probably already been posted somewhere but the Amir Khan-Malinaggi fights also appears to be on BBC under the Red Button option :!:

Re: This is a proper boxing weekend!
I have a bit of a dilemma this weekend
I'm being dragged to an event by the other half which means we are staying in some B&B.
I know I won't be able to watch the Mitchell fight live - and I desperately want to avoid the result until I get home and watch the show on Sunday.
However, I will be able to watch the ITV show live.
What do you think - will the Mitchell result be referred to during the Khan broadcast :??

Unbeaten Cuban heavyweight Mike Perez is promising double trouble on the Yanjing Fight Night in Limerick on Saturday as he bids to enter the record books by fighting twice on the same night in officially recorded professional bouts.
Perez features on the undercard of Andy Lee's clash with former European Champion Mamadou Thiam and he's hoping to make the boxing word sit up and take notice with an incredible double.
Perez will open the show on Saturday night when he takes on Latvia's Edgar Kalnars and should everything go smoothly for the Cork based southpaw in that contest then he will be back in the ring for a second time in a matter of hours when he faces Tomas Mrazek from the Czech Reublic.
Perez's participation in the second bout is subject to a medical examination immediately following the first bout by the Boxing Union of Ireland's ringside doctor but the man himself sees little difficulty with the task at hand.
“I think it's a great idea and when Brian Peters suggested it I jumped at the opportunity because I have had over a year out of the ring with an injury so I am looking to keep as busy as possible now and it doesn't get any better than having two fights in one night.”
Peters believes that the Perez double adds further spice to Saturday night's undercard. “Mike is chomping at the bit to fight because he has been out of the ring for so long and it's been very frustrating for him,” said Peters. “He's an incredible raw talent and he wants to start fulfilling his potential and shake up the heavyweight division and pulling off this feat on Saturday night will certainly cause a stir.
“Previously heavyweight legends such as Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey and George Foreman have fought more than once on the same night but they were always only exhibition bouts and were never counted as official contests but these bouts on Saturday night will be official and hopefully as long as Mike does the business they will improve his unbeaten record from 8 and 0 to 10 and 0.”
