Absolute bedlam mars Khan v Malignaggi weigh in

To be fair and not wanting to start a war here but I really fail to understand why any British fight fan would want Amir to lose tomorrow!!!

Its a joke you would have thought a group of muslims would be keeping a low profile in america.
Whats the bet Amir gets booed by the public at his fight now? I watched the superbowl and there was a black muslim guy playing on one of the teams and when they read his name out the whole crowd booed him. so its not like the Yanks are just slightly anti muslim at the moment (rightly or wrongly you can see where they are coming from).
Its the muslim people who behave like this or make jokes about 9/11 and what not that get every british muslim tarred with the same brush. Which is a shame when Khan himself is such a good advocate!
Khan's army - grow some brains.

Feel sorry for Khan. His fans have always left bad press whenever they've followed him.
Now 'Khan's Army', hooded up and trying to scrap? I can see why people want him to lose (not me like).

I think because the asians were thought of as quite workers for so long alot of the young asians now seem to think they need to prove themselves and imitate jamaican gang culture and white chav jobism.jBacca wrote:Feel sorry for Khan. Agreed with you!overhand_right wrote:Lol, Amir just can't stop running his image into the dirt. Dismisses everybody as racists, the ridiculous Twitter posts, the seedy Piers Morgan interview, the torture & knob texts, and now he's surrounding himself with an army of goons.
Takes a lot of heart to be a tough guy when you've got 30 of your mates with you!
Khan is the biggest cretin British boxing has seen for a long long time.

There was someone in the crowd wearing a pink, yes pink shirt who looked suspiciously like Smoggie McNeilly................................
Re: Absolute bedlam mars Khan v Malignaggi weigh in
reminds me of an all Indian or Pakistani or Bangladeshi team in our football league once....they had 2 white lads and a black lad...now one would hope that was enforced by the league, or maybe it wasn't - as it smacks a bit of Paki only (I don't use Paki as a slur either, never have, that's cretinous and disgusting, merely abbreviation) against the rest.
They were decent and we had a few good games with them. 3 of their games ended in fracas or abandonment however cos apparently when one got fouled (or maybe tackled who knows
), they turned into a fcking racist mob so I was told, they would play the "Paki racism card" as an excuse for a barny! Like I say, we had good spirited, well contested games against them and they seemed ordinary lads, but this is the reputation that was attributed to them. Played against many a thick, fcking w*nker of my own colour too mind you, obviously, but Ian's article about these fcking morons just rings a bell.
Thankfully these dumb f*cks are a minority. Small brains with massive chips on their shoulders. I know of another lad, not remotely sporting or interested in any other boxers that I'm aware, but he's been up and down the length of Britain just to cheer on his "Muslim brother" Khan. Seems a bigoted attitude to me.

Fair enough question!!!Wrists wrote:To be fair and not wanting to start a war here but I really fail to understand why any British fight fan would want Amir to lose tomorrow!!!
Amir Khan appears at the very top of my list of people I dislike since I really came truly obsessed about the sport 12 years ago. I cannot think of anyone and I mean anyone that I have come across in the sport who even comes remotely close.
I am not being racist whatsoever with my remarks as indeed I have met and still have contact with many brilliant individuals that are of different race, colour etc etc than I am.
Do I want Khan to lose 2morrow - you are dam right I do - do I think he will - nope unfortunately I go along with other people who thinks Khan will stop Malanaggi quite comfortably - but as I keep stating it will be bloody brilliant if I am wrong.
For the record - I actually think Amir Khan is an absolutely superb offensive boxer who very few boxers in the world will be able to cope with not only his range of punches but most of all his speed - in addition I actually think he could take Ricky Hatton apart and I hate saying that - Amir Khan is superb on the front foot - I wonder if there is a boxer who can put him under pressure and make him think defensively - Khan is world class offensively.
So I guess basically I want him to lose every fight he is in - not because of his religion etc etc etc - but because quite simply I dislike him.

That's what I've noticed this past decade, this new generation think they're black gangstas, the prior gen seemed to be a dignified hard working bunch, but these kids..... hmmm.kingfinn wrote:I think because the asians were thought of as quite workers for so long alot of the young asians now seem to think they need to prove themselves and imitate jamaican gang culture and white chav jobism.

From the day that Khan made his pro debut, in my humble opinion, this was on the cards to happen.
I've followed boxing for 32years home and abroad, and in all that time I've never come across a worse bunch than Khan Army.
Sad but true.

Its yob culture in britain thats out of control full stop however the pakistani yobs seem to have only come out of the wood work in the last ten or so years. And yes its as i said youths trying to prove that they can be feared like the white hooligans and the yardees.terminator wrote:not true...they are just imitating the football hooligans in France 98 and euro 2000overhand_right wrote:That's what I've noticed this past decade, this new generation think they're black gangstas, the prior gen seemed to be a dignified hard working bunch, but these kids..... hmmm.kingfinn wrote:I think because the asians were thought of as quite workers for so long alot of the young asians now seem to think they need to prove themselves and imitate jamaican gang culture and white chav jobism.
And in all fairness the british football hooligans havent just left a car bomb in times square, so you would expect any traveling pakistanis to try and set an example or rather show the yanks that they arent all nutters and terrorists.
Khan sends a very good message across about british muslims/pakistanis - and that message is likely to fall on deaf ears with his supporters acting like complete tools.
Re: Absolute bedlam mars Khan v Malignaggi weigh in
I saw one of his early fights at excel there was trouble that night with his fans intimitading others. Khan should distance himself from these fans but he won't! His pr is awful!twenty six wrote:From the day that Khan made his pro debut, in my humble opinion, this was on the cards to happen.

He is going from one of the most popular boxers when he turned pro to one of the most disliked now!! - its a shame because as I have already stated offensively he is a world class boxer!!
