Anyone know if it worth E-mailing him about the Eurosport schedules (i.e. does he know a bit further down the line than the TV guide and does he know what fights they indend showing). I hope they show the other fights on this bill soon.

Me too. The last time I saw Erdei was the first Garay bout and I immediately thought he looked a natural super-middle - looked very fleshy and even seemed to have a bit of a gut! If he is a natural 168'er, yet can hang at WBO level in the 175lb division... he could be a very interesting addition to the current super-middle scene, in my view..stujones wrote:A Week on Tuesday = Michaelswecki vs Tiozzo (hope Garay vs Erdei).
Yes, he punches like a bulked up Super Middle aswell. He think he could even go down to Middle - he doesn't "look" like a champion.Manos de Oro wrote:Me too. I like Holdsworth but sometime he does things in the wrong order. I watch a fight involving Antionio Lauri yesterday and he harped on first of all how Lauri lost this challenge for the EU title - this was around the ring walks. Then half way through the introduction he said, but Lauri won the title at his second attempt and this fight is his first defence.ABA Boxing wrote:Steve Holdsworth likes reading Emails on air when the action gets abit slow!
Sounds like he is not watching it somtimes and just yapping on!
The thing I like about Holdsworth is that he's quite happy to tell viewers just how crap some of the guys and/or titles are.
I'd love to see him on Sky: "Well, here we are, live on Friday night. I should point out that whilst this fight is for something called the WBU heavyweight title, it's actually just two crap plodders who should be fighting in a pub car park at chucking out time. Still, hope you stick with me!"

Yes, I used to e-mail him a few times before I went on any boxing forum. He was a good bloke and would give nice replies. Even e-mailed me when he said that he'll be on holidays so that I wouldn't be dissapoint if he didn't reply for a bit.silkov wrote:I emailed him a while back and got a very nice reply... seems like a very good fella...

Steve was at an amateur show today down in surrey doing the video, with commentary of course.
