Question when is the british four nations??
You seen mcewan box a few times before??hes pure class so hard to catch.. will be a great fight with andy lee and i will say MCEWAN points win, hes thinking of going pro soon and prob will follow alex arthur and gary young and join maloney/warren,,,, will be a massive ticket seller up here.. you heard his amature record ?? its somethine else.maverick wrote:I agree Ulysses Lee v McEwan is tasty but I too would stick with the Lee to come through. He may not have looked much against Mullins today but I think that's more down to the level of his opponent. Boxing better quality boxers raises your level. 10 England lads in the finals, that's a pretty damn good turn out and out of that I'd say we have a good chance of 8 golds. Cox had a fantastic win over Hastie and if Joyce is the same Joyce that won Gold at 57kg last year against Watson then I see Cox being too strong and too intense for him. I think Flournoy has done exceptionally well since winning the novices and now the abas just a season later but I've been very impressed with the strength, presser and accuracy of Brabazon and I'd go with him on this one. Hard to call though, will be interesting.

OK thx we gotstates wrote:According to Steve Bunce in The Independent, Langley is fighting the Welshman, Matthew Edmonds. As for Price, I don't know mate.
Edit: Ignore that, I totally failed to read the thread properly.
51KG STEWART LANGLEY (ENG) V MATHEW EDMONDS (WAL)
in the final
Im guessing that DAVID PRICE (ENG) will box James Perry (Scot) or Cathal McMonagle (Ireland)
But does anyone know if
JAMES PERRY (SCO) V Cathal McMonagle (Ireland) Happend or is Price automatic winner on a bye?
sorry ABA Boxing some finals weren't clear as not able to hear if people got a by or know if someone pulled out, didn't make weight or were ill/injured. Price ko'd Monagle and I think it's Perry in the final but not 100%.David Price (Eng) ko'd McMonagle in 2nd
James Perry (Scot)
Allan Kasongo (Wales)
Cathal McMonagle (Ireland)
Not sure who price against as unclear who pulled out and who then got a by? Looking into it.
Mc announcements are pretty inaudible at the best of times.
Sorry best I can do
Not sure who Cox 64kg will meet in final either and there is some confusion about 75kg reps. Best I could do and will continue to edit above line up as I gain info.
You seen mcewan box?? what you think of him?? think he can beat lee to claim best middleweight in britain??( currently sitting third according to BN ratings).maverick wrote:Sorry Stu I put the blasted bold thingy in wrong place. Said Peter Ashton would give a good account in the final.
Got Edwards wrong though, dissapointed in that. Glad for Edwards but he is limited and him winning doesn't bold well for our chances in this weight in the weight.
Got Kevin Evans wrong also, even when not in great shape - still shows he is the best in the country.
Kasongo got into the final? I hope it was a buy.
