Re: rankings
Mate I don't take any notice of the rankings on here there a waste of time. I haven't got a clue why they have the likes of adnan amar at welter ranked so high when he has boxed nobody but journey men an has only boxed once in the last year
Re: rankings
I wouldn't worry too much mate, it's done via some weird computer points system.
I remember at one time it had Jose Luis Castillo as the #1 light welterweight even though at the time he hadn't had a light welterweight bout.

Re: rankings
The ratings are generally quite good, imo.
Swaby had a decent points tally, so a KO1 over him moved Dallas from 69 points to 88. Larry, your win over Kenna didn't give you any extra points due to his low rating, so you stayed on 80.
If you're interested in playing the ratings game, I'd suggest fighting someone like Carl Baker W 9 (KO 6) - L 5 (KO 2) - D 0, who still has a points tally of 58, thanks to his win over Danny Williams.

Re: rankings
agree with asterix , the rankings are done pretty well , in a way that means that you get more points for beating better opponents etc , looking at your rank larry , theres not many above you that youd probably think your ready for just yet , well at least thats how i see it , so in all fairness you can probably be fairly happy with your current rank , theres 2 or 3 above you that id put you in with a shot at beating but after that your looking at the top domestic heavyweights , people such as sprott , williams ,chisora , harrison , mcdermott , fury etc etc , im sure youll admit yourself you need a few more learning fights before stepping up to those guys , im not saying you cant beat that level of fighter in your own mind , im saying you need to do it step by step , as mentioned above and on other threads , Carl Baker , Paul Butlin , Dave Ferguson ,Coleman Barrett , there the sort of people you should look at for your next few fights , then maybe someone like Zoltan petranyi (who i think you could probably beat right now but need to move along first) , then maybe youll know where you are and wether you should be looking towards the top guys , i think in a few fights time you vs Martin Rogan would be a fight that would seem a very interesting and potential humdinger.

Re: rankings
Go to his profile: Adnan Amar W 23 (KO 7) - L 1 (KO 1) - D 0 and switch the ratings to 'on'. It will then show you how his points have changed. He got a big boost for beating Darren Gethin, as Gethin had knocked out Tyan Booth shortly before.bigdaddy wrote:x2xXHAMMERXx wrote:Mate I don't take any notice of the rankings on here there a waste of time. You can see where all the points have come from. Look into it before complaining, and then be constructive about your issues with it.

Has there been any talk of fighting Dallas as Frank has both of you?
You would of lost points for losing to Daniil Peretyatko, but surely should of got more for winning the Southern Area, regardless of the opponent...

Gethin is a journey man I don't no how on earth he has got the same point scoring at micheal Jennings when just has just come out of a world title fight an has also got a higher ranking that Denton vassel when he is a commonwelth champ not an English champ amar has bottled it from so many fights in the last year just cos the is a little chance he might lose an u should also be dropped point for inactivity cos has has only boxed once in the last year !!!

I dont really unerstand it

Look at Nimber 15, he has 1 fight won it against someone with a Not so good record, all thats below him has better records and some is unbeaten, how does that work?
Re: rankings
He beat a guy with 52 points and hasn't lost it. All the guys below have either not beaten a guy rated as highly, or have lost since. For instance, Mo Khaled beat Stephen Russell, who had 58 points, but then lost to Martin Ward and lost some points.Londonirish wrote:I dont really unerstand it![]()

It rewards boxers who beat guys who are winning. Blaine Courtney beat a guy when he had just won 52 points.
