Much as i like Mitchell i dont think he will ever be genuine world class. Maybe if he was totally dedicated and moved to the States for better sparring/trainning he could get somewhere near. I dont think he is prepared to do that though and dont see him progressing beyond Euro level.

The bookies don`t go with the hype. They protect their exposure. In a fight like this, the UK punters (the vast majority) will back the local guy and with the amount of money going on for Mtchell, the odds reflect this.mickey1975 wrote:FLINT ISLAND wrote:Deno1986 wrote: I still can't believe the bookies bought into the Mitchell hype aswell! I can believe it.
Bookies get boxing wrong alot of the time.
Like Kelly Pavlik was odds on to beat Hopkins with Ladbrokes
And Hopkins was 10/3 to win with Ladbrokes
I lost my bet - because I put money on Hopkins to win by stoppage at 9/1
My favourite was Mosely at 1/4 to beat Winky Wright.I backed Winky heavily![]()
But the point is - if you know boxing - you can easily get one over the bookies - they just go with the hype.
What it does do is create an opportunity for people who know a bit about boxing to make a profit. This is more down to the ignorance of the general public, than any naivety on the bookies part.
