It's good to see someone else take on the hard fights as well as Michael Kirby on the domestic scene.

Great to see this fight happening and both men are willing to risk their records and not pad it. Good on both camps.... Cameron should be favorite in theory but Leapai has a very good chance.

Good to see Leapai stepping up to some real competition, he has a great chance of winning imo,

Also good to see Cameron not giving up and still going for the hard fights :TU:

Its funny Shanes camp is calling this fight risky. I know they mean for records sake but Shane Cameron has taken on bigger risks before. This is Alex's first big risk as he has never fought anyone like a Ahunanya or a Tua.

Good on Shane for still fighting decent fighters as for Alex...its about time mate.

i agree that cameron is a good fighter but the guy has beat absolute nobodies. of course he has stepped up more than alex has but cameron is still yet to beat a good quality opponent. i'm not saying he won't or can't beat alex but i believe if he is to win he'll have produced his best performance.

we know some of alex's opposition has been ordinary at times but i think he has a better chance to beat cameron then what others think. they could quite possibly be very equal in ability and toughness and it could really be a foty candidate. hope so anyway.

i still think it is 50/50.

So your saying Alex hasnt realy stepped up but thats not his fault, who is australia want to fight him. I have only seen footage of Tua fights never in person but I cant see that he hits any harder than Alex. The Cameron camp is rite its a big fight for them if Alex get one on him its good nite Mr Cameron.

Phil Austin mentioned on eastside that Leapai won that fight even if he went the 12 rounds he scored him ahead of Wilson also Mark Osbourne and got rid of Mirovic early and looked hungry even when he was chocking on his mouthguard thats what you get if you don't check it before you enter the ring :witzend:

hey rhino any chance at cameron they think you chickened out don't worry we know you aussies always bring it :TU:

Danny Green-Shane Cameron Could Be in The Works
According to multiple reports in New Zealand, heavyweight Shane Cameron (24-2, 20KOs) is dropping down to cruiserweight for a potential shot at IBO champion Danny Green (29-3, 26KOs) in the fall. Cameron plans shed some weight to fight at cruiserweight on the undercard of Green's next title defense set to take place in July. If they both win, Cameron says a fight is being negotiated for the fall.

Danny's career is going down the shitter quick, i mean com'n FFS, theres fights out there.....plenty.

Who Danny's not fighting in July is Glen Johnson, which is quite disappointing.

It would make sense with Cameron if Cameron was good or owned a world title, but this makes no sense but it'll probably make dollars.

Well done Green machine.

The only sources I can find simply say he's fighting on the Green undercard.

Tua hits way harder then Alex. I dont mean no disrespect Colin Russell but if you disagree you can try asking Rahman, Ruiz, Moorer....etc

Alex has lost fights to WHOM?????..and knocked out WHOM???...cmon we do know the boxing scene dont we???...dam.

I believe this is gonna be a good fight this is undoubtedly no question Alex Leapai's hardest ever fight compared to the calibre and achievements of Alex's previous opponents. Like I said before for Alex its about time.

i think your right mate he needs to step it up a little , dont understand why he is not. i think tarver is a good fight, glen johnson , chad dawson hopkins any of them.

shane cameron is just not on the same level and would make for a pretty easy fight i think, think greeny may just be testing the waters of the hw division for the future maybe >???

Yeah he stepped up once and once only and that ended very badly.

Great domestic matchup with 2 guys on the same level at this point in there career.

agree.

there seems to be very little between them. they both look as promising as each other. just not too sure that they will go too far though. but good luck to both.

Cameron should take the Danny Green fight (makes far more business sense) count his money and then (regardless of the result) do whatever.... maybe buy a ranch in Gisborne and etc....

Fighting Danny Green will be a far more attractive and news worthy event than Leapai. However if he finishes Leapai and then drops to Cruiser, makes a decent pay day fighting Green- then so be it. Green is the more attractive option: both NZ and Aus media will make a big deal out of it. Not that Leapai isn't good enough but can't compare to Green as a "name" in main stream.
