he's only just arrived at 140.
and no way is he ready for some of that welterweight talent.
andre berto would tear the lad a new one.

but between his longer spells from the ring, and BEFORE training starts for his next fight, you don't think he's running around at a 'natural' weight (size & age considered) between 160 -170?
how many 5'10 people, even younger ones who are strong and fit, weigh less than 'about' 160-170?
he isnt a troll, however he is related to the scots middleweight Bert Gilroy, who fought at a time when the lads fought at thier natural weight. (Gilroy was here, is a decent read also i can recommend it).hitman09 wrote:This is definitely a troll. Nobody could be so ridiculous to think height = natural weight regardless of build. Look at Caballero ffs, he's 5'11"
I honestly don't think his chin is that bad. I think it was more to do with making lightweight than having a bad chin. If it was as bad as being made out he wouldn't have got up from the 1st knockdown V's Prescott.fatman wrote:hey mooresy, what where your thoughts on Khan's chin while he was in your gym? could you see it was weak or did you only see it in fights?
what has happened since to make his chin so much better? do you think it will be a problem in the future?
What top professional fights at their walking around weight? If he can make the weight fine and never had any problems with it, then he's at the right weight.jimglen wrote:the lads 5'10, and I know he fights quite regular at the moment,

How do you know what he weighs between fights.jimglen wrote:stop talkin shite Khan's natural weight is about 170 lbs.
I like Khan and I am a big supporter of his talent and potential,
I just think it needs to be proven honestly, the same as everbody else. Boxing needs to be honest to be improved!
I agree that his chin is OK. I think he has a problem with his temple, though, like Haye does. Both were put on wobbly legs in the amateurs. Khan by Craig Watson, Haye by Jim Twitte, I think his name is.Mooresy wrote:I honestly don't think his chin is that bad. I think it was more to do with making lightweight than having a bad chin. Just coz it's not granite doesn't mean it's china!
I don't think i will change anyones opinion but IMO it's not that bad.
I've always said Khan's chin wasn't as suspect as what people like to make out. Versus Limond he got up and won in the next round, versus Gomez wasn't he put down by a shot to the body?? versus Prescott he just got hit in round 1 by a banger. It might not be the solidest, but it's not China. Good that sumbody agrees!Mooresy wrote:I honestly don't think his chin is that bad. top man thanks for that MooreseyMooresy wrote:Listen, i know him well and can tell you he has NEVER been anywhere near 170.
He's one of the few boxers i know who stays relatively near the weight. When he was at our gym he never went above 144, but that was when he was at 135lb, so i'd guess he goes 149-50 max now. He lives the life.
As i've said, he's one of the FEW i know who stays near the weight.
