Good luck to Ryan Rhodes on Friday.

Full credit to Messi, and Rhodes- excellent performance by Rhodes, who looked strong and confident.
Brave fight by Messi, who took some heady head shots right at the end, rather than losing the fight on a knee. Perhaps the ref should have waved it off as he got up from that, though.

Always wondered what Anders Frisk was up to these days...
Well done Whicker. Wish I'd taken a bet at 9-1

I was looking for this bloody thread.
Good stopage, not too soon, not too late. Messi was just being brave, but it was obvious he wanted out after that body shot.

They were there to set up a showdown at light-heavyweight..........Hamed vs Hatton, live at the dog and duckleforge wrote:Well dine Ryan! Who was bigger ricky or nas?
175lbs sounds about right for both of them, but maybe Ricky's touching cruiser-weight

Disadvantages of being a sportsman. As soon as you stop the intense training, you get fat!

if you see the pics at the end of this audio, Hatton looks fit in comparison. I think naz borrowed Hatton's fat suit

Re: Good luck to Ryan Rhodes on Friday.
are they talking about Margarito next for Rhodes?
If Ryan did get that fight, wow. He'd have to try and take a leaf out of Mosley's book, I think, and try to back Toni up early rather than get on the backfoot too much and let marg build up momentum. Right hands to the body got Margarito's attention against Shane, and its a punch Rhodes throws very well.

Re: Good luck to Ryan Rhodes on Friday.
Sorry I've been off the radar guys but first of all many thanks for the positive comments.
Ryan is looking his best in a long long time, not just on fight night, but throughout the camp.
He may be 33 and may (it seems) have been around longer than ever, but I have to say he is in his prime.
I hope he gets the World Title shot.
Everyone will be doing their best so let's hope.
Should be out again very early in the new season.
