interesting tibbs interview before mitchell katsidis fight

just read the may issue of boxing monthly and the interview with mitchells trainer i found quite interesting, he says "he (mitchell) never cheats in training- if anything, we have to stop him doing too much"

we all know what was said after the fight...one comment i remember in particular was when mitchell said something along the lines of "6 weeks before the fight i was behind with my training and playing catch up".

so one of them is lying which one do you think it is???

I have said from the beggining, that Mitchell is using all these excuses for why he lost. But the matter of the fact is, he was just beaten by the better fighter and got a taste of world level.......

I always get the impression, that Mitchell thinks he is better than he actually is.

Maybe Tibbs was fibbing before the fight, he's not going to say "my boy has now chance, he's had a barney with his missis and he's been awol from the gym".

i think Mitchell is the same as nicky cook good european fighter but not world level but that dont mean that he won't earn a few quid along the way ??

In fairness to both, that interview was probably done close to six weeks before the fight. Bit of a grey area then.
