Thought the first FN was good, but this is ten times better. I like the fact you can box more in this, jumping in and out of range making the other fella miss. Plus all the other little things, amateur career, clinching and the improved character creater.
I'd better stock up on weed and crisps, cos i'm not leaving me room for about 4 weeks![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

The game is beautiful, perfectly presented, imaginatively structured and it has some brilliant graphical ideas - the corner work is sublime, the creator fighter easy and effective - Junior Witter looks like JW.
The fighters move more realistically, both in and out of combat. The screens are well configured and easy to navigate.
EA have listened - this game is perfect.
One thing I'd like to add?
10 REAL fighters minimum in each division. Otherwise - perfect.

had a nice box of saffie pinotage delivered the other day too!
I'm really enjoying this game now. More could be done on the stats/career side, but the actual boxing is the best on any game yet (even if it could be a little less rockyish with its stupid haymakers etc). Once you get into the rythm of a fight, you really get the feeling of being "in the zone", it's very cleverly done. I have switched the commentary off, though, the annoying twat.
"Rev Porl", middleweight 32/4/0 30 KO's, ranked 16th... must stop taking on patsies and move up the rankings....
Knackered at work after playing till 2 AM
hmmm... maybe time for a break for a bit.....

The commentary was really fornicating annoying on the last one. It is something which is very very hard to do well on all sports games, because it tends to become very competitive. Think about it, how often do we all complain about REAL boxing commentary, so what chances are there that a computerised version from stock phrases is going to work.
Yeah, and as he's saying it, I'm knocking the guy out...Kevo wrote:The commentater comes out with some pearlers, my favourite being

The commentating is shit.
The music is shit.
The taunting is embarrassing.
And it's obvious whoever picked the stats for the actual boxers only had a general idea of the boxers, because they are quite sad. (Example- Norton's chin is better than Ali's)
And the game gets boring pretty fast... After that you can only play a couple of fights(Which only last 1-2 rounds anyways) at a time.
I'd give it a 7/10 tops...

My biggest beef has always been with the stats personally, they are really off kilter with many of the fighters. Too many of the stats are too similar.Tantum wrote:Yeah, and as he's saying it, I'm knocking the guy out...Kevo wrote:The commentater comes out with some pearlers, my favourite being

It strange really cos I thought the stats were pretty accurate for most fighters in the second knockout kings game but agree for the third KK and Fightnight 1 they were well off. If I remember correctly, in FN 1 Lamotta has better power than Robinson and Marciano has a crap chin.jamesmcdonnell wrote:My biggest beef has always been with the stats personally, they are really off kilter with many of the fighters.
