really want Brodie to win this one... he is the more talented guy and a better MAN.

Yes, he had a messy divorce that did the poor lad's head in. He was at a very low ebb indeed. Seems like a really nice guy.

I do worry about this being his first fight in over a year though and despite what he says, the fights he had with Chi are the type that really wear a man.

agee there gents, i love mikey, think he is great but sadly i also think he is well past his best.

i hope we dont have to put up with too much diatribe from the harrison guys that they just beat a world champ when he does. (not being nasty or having a pop here i stress). Just mike's seen better days and i wouldt have him in the top ten feathers.

harrison late stoppage round the 10th.

Is the reason this was a conference call rather than a head to head to do with the fact that Harrison might not be looking all that photogenic following his most recent fracas or was it because of simple logistics and getting all the parties in one room?

More than likely the latter. Telephone conference calls are becoming the norm these days. Saves finding a venue suitable to all parties, and I guess it is easier to avoid questions.

I have to say, they rarely elucidate anything interesting, fighters avoid answering any difficult questions by and large, as we saw in that press conference.

Perhaps, but celticwarrior has a point. Especially seeing as FW said how easy travel was for fans between Glasgow and Manchester. Some TV pics of a head to head would have been good to launch this 'festival of boxing'.

However, to be fair Sports Network do have another commitment in London tomorrow morning. A press conference with...Amir Khan!

Suppose you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see, celticwarrior.

Might just be the announcement of his fight at Bolton and then the fact that he has signed with FW.

Will be interesting either way. Khan is always quotable.

I don't think the Kindelan fight will go ahead. The Cuban has already agreed to fight in Dublin on the 15th as part of the second leg of the four nations challenge.

It wouldn't surprise me if Warren announced that because Khan-Kindelan 3 was not now going ahead Khan will turn pro as of tomorrow although I would imagine he'll fulfill his obligation to the Bolton show but just not against Khan.

I have a lot of respect for Brodie but I feel this is a bad match for him at this stage of his career.

As I have said on previous threads I feel Brodie is on the slide and that putting him with another big, strong dreadnought of a featherweight like Scott harrison is not a good fight for the Manchester fighter.

Body shots must be the key for Brodie. Harrison's got a good chin, but he's looked vunerable to the body a few times.
That body assault Brodie launched at Chi even had the rock hard Korean wincing for awhile...

What does Amir Khan hope to achieve by fighting Kindelan for a third time? Amir is a tremendous talent but unless the Cuban has gotten old overnight it's a big ask for Khan to win this one and it's not as if Khan has beeen very active since the Olympics.

Respect to Khan for taking the fight though.

I understand it looks like Brodie is on the downslide - However, Harrison really isn't that big a puncher (is he?) - He seems to be quite a bit like McCullough in that he will bang away but he doesn't pack that big a punch -

That's what i was thinking. The inactivity is certainly against Mike but the version that fought Chi the first time would beat the today's Harrison. I've no doubts about that.

But 2 beatings from Chi must stay with a man...
