Any comments, criticisms or P4P lists are very welcome.
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Probably your best list yet, you could argue a place here or there but you've got things pretty right at this point imo.
Of course I'd rather see Dunne removed after announcing retirement, but I know why you have him there and there's no point going over old ground discussing that.

cannae wait to hear the reason for this one! 8)Coco wrote:Murray climbs 11 places for beating Buckland??
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Horse probably realised he had seriously underrated Murray and such moved him up more places than he should really deserve for beating Buckland. But he probably deserves the #9 ranking.slapbangwhallop wrote:cannae wait to hear the reason for this one! 8)Coco wrote:Murray climbs 11 places for beating Buckland??

Horse,
Don't know how you work it but as Hatton has been inactive for over a year should he not drop out?
Good list though!

Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Murray's rise is astronomical.
Junior Witter is far too low.
Junior Witter is far too low.
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Having said that, I remember Horse getting stick last month due to Murray's low position and he said it was due to inactivity and that when he fought again he would rise up the rankings. No-one can deny that Murray deserves his place in the top 10.Chris W 1982 wrote:Murray's rise is astronomical.

Witter, like Hatton, hasn't fought for ages!

What i love about these lists is that Horse always seems to post it bang on the nose of midnight, never even a minute late!
Does the same apply for new years eve?

What BigEars said is fairly accurate.BigEars wrote:Horse probably realised he had seriously underrated Murray and such moved him up more places than he should really deserve for beating Buckland. Murray was ranked 12th last November just after he beat Thaxton, over the following months he fell to 20th in the rankings because of inactivity. When he beat Buckland I was able to put him where I felt he should be which was 9th in the rankings.
I feel Murray has a better record over the last 12 months than everyone he overtook, so I think this decision was fair, even though a win over Buckland is not normally the sort of win that moves a fighter up 11 places.
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
I don't currently take fighters out of the rankings because of inactivity. If Hatton announces his retirement then I will take him out.winkveron wrote:Horse,

Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
So if he doesn't official announce his retirement he stays in in perpetuity?Horse wrote:I don't currently take fighters out of the rankings because of inactivity. If Hatton announces his retirement then I will take him out.winkveron wrote:Horse,

Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Shouldn't Hatton fall due to inactivity, then rise again should he win, just like Murray?
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
It was a big jump up the rankings, but Buckland had been on good form and Murry did win the European title.Chris W 1982 wrote:Murray's rise is astronomical.
Witter has not fought for 10 months and he hasn't won a fight in over 18 months. He is only just outside the top 10, if he has a comeback win then he can start climbing the rankings again.Chris W 1982 wrote:Junior Witter is far too low.

Good list as usual Horse
I would have Booth a lot higher and Simpson slightly higher

Good list, though Munroe is too high IMO.

no he is in the right spot his has just won an eliminator for a world title an has defended his ero title more than the other ero champs
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
It isn't what ornaments you win that matters IMO, it's who you beat and how good you look doing so.xXHAMMERXx wrote:hitman09 wrote:Good list, though Munroe is too high IMO.

No, he will fall down the rankings over time as other fighters overtake him.slapbangwhallop wrote:So if he doesn't official announce his retirement he stays in in perpetuity?Horse wrote:I don't currently take fighters out of the rankings because of inactivity. Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
That is the plan, but fighters at the top of the rankings tend to fall down the list a lot slower then those lower down.winkveron wrote:Shouldn't Hatton fall due to inactivity, then rise again should he win, just like Murray?

Yes, I also think Booth should be higher in the rankings. Booth was in 16th place in March, he has since fallen 6 places in the last 3 months, which is a fast fall for a fighter that high up the rankings.alexpaterson wrote:I would have Booth a lot higher and Simpson slightly higher
Booth's fall down the rankings in mostly due to all of the new European champions (5 of the 7 fighters that have overtaken Booth in the last 3 months are new European champions). I was not expecting that sort of thing to happen, and I perhaps placed some of the European champions higher than I should have considering some of them didn't fight stellar opposition for the title.
Simpson hasn't fought this year so I don't think his current position is too bad, as there are other good fighters at the bottom of the list. John Simpson is scheduled to fight Stephen Smith in July, if he wins that fight then he can climb quite a few places.
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2010
Munroe has wins over Terrazas, Maludrottu and Martinez x2. Munroe has recently won two WBC World title eliminators and was the European champion for over two years.hitman09 wrote:Good list, though Munroe is too high IMO.
I think he deserves his current position in the rankings and I don't think anyone below him has a very good case to be above him at the moment.
