Hamdan robbed. Lost a SD to Junior. Hamdan won 6 of the 8 rounds imo, disgraceful

REALLY??? 6????? and i suppose u think junior landed 0 power shots, and that the shots nader landed on the gloves counted for everything???? eg mundine V taylor???
junior landed more power shots, and had the guy hurt a few times. how is that robbed?

was on ok fight, close. but not spectacular by any means.

on a positive note, good to see danny geale finish kariz off. very patient display, and good finish, possibly should have had him done earlier though. but well done to both guys. i think geale needs to look at some more body work, and possibly a bit more emphasis in his conditioning to get a few more percent in the power column. add 10% to what he already has and that fight ends in about round 5.

thought dib was impressive in the ring after the bell, but b4 lacked a lot of class that hopefully will come with growing up a lil bit.
medley needs to get a decent fight soon too. i know must be hard having fights fall over after fights falling over but def neds decent opponent soon.

Geale def Kariz tko 11
Dib def Thai TKO 1
Medley def Aparcio KO 3
Jnr def Hamden SD 8
Woods vs Hadlow TD 1 Time 0.15
Taylor def Costello KO 1

Decent card, Jnr vs Hamden close fight, Jnr threw spiratically but had sting behind his punch's, while Hamden worked hard inside with pitty pat punch's.
Geale looked a little ring rusty in the first few rounds, but broke a brave Kariz down over 11 with beautiful angles and a laser right.
Dib impressed me with a brutal display of punching power...yes i said power. The Thai wasn't a cabbie either, he called John out.
Taylor smashed Costello, and actually looked really sharp. Still think he should hang em up.
Woods and Hadlow didn't even land a punch before Woods eye opened up again.
Medley looked good against a very limited opponent.

Six fights: 4 quick finishes and 2 worth the PPV. So how did it go:

1. Ben Costello with 1/6th the number of bouts of Shannon Taylor seemed over-awed and the Blaster stepped up, found his mark quickly and rained head shots down on Ben and it was all over within two minutes. Shannon wants more action and needs to find out where he sits ratings wise by getting in with more qualified guys (than Ben), possibly those also there on the night: Junior; Nadar or Kariz.

2. This one lasted all of 15 seconds between William Hadlow and Garth Wood, where Garth's tissue thin eye scar split and thats all she wrote - a tecchnical draw. Another eye split like that and Garth will be back in the Jim Beam Cup.

3. Words of war were waged before, during and after the 8 rounder between Junior Talipeau and Nadar Hamdan. Nadar had his radar working and threw the higher percentage of punches, was the busier fighter despite a fair bit of holding. Junior did some good body punching and let his overhand right do the talking but when he had Nadar backed up on the ropes, he didn't follow up and let Nadar jab and grapple him back to the centre of the ring. Junior's lack of fighting skills when on the backfoot was exposed by Nadar as well as his inability to throw a left hook of any damage. In the end I scored Nadar over the line in a gruelling exciting bout but the judges disagreed. Nadar dropped the magic word in disgust and quickly exited the ring and Junior offered a rematch.

4. As I thought, the under sized Argie: Sergio Apericio, although game was badly over-matched and was easy picking for Robert and succumbed in the third round. Robert Medley needs better opposition than these easy imports.

5. The Dibster put away his Thai opposition: Senahen in the first round, who like Robert's opponent was over-matched and not in the same class. Time to step up Billy!

6. The main event started off at top place and Daniel Geale didn't have time to show any ring rust against a very game Kariz Kariuki who mixed it up well with Daniel for the first five rounds. Daniel's rights in round 6 started to take their toll and Kariz had the wobbles but he fought on for the next four rounds to give Daniel a more than decent workout. In round 11, Daniel's volley of rights over the top, followed up by a left hook found Kariz's head and he was soon in Disneyland and the ref stopped the action. Kariz was brave but not in Daniel's league and lets hope that Daniel can get those title shots later this year or in 2011.

Good card of Boxing IMO. The Hamden-Junior fight was close. Could have gone either way .
Dib was a lucky, he hit his opponent whilst on a knee and could have been DQd if the Thia didn't get up. Second time now he will have to be careful as he was dominating his opponent.

old school have really created a brand and lifted aussie boxing to a new level,no doubt

BUT - as for last night i just feel sorry for them, because paying customers are fickle and as quick as you have em you can lose em!

1.shannon fight - miss match, the pluhge goes on $40k on at $2.50,kid smashed money for jam! - 60 sec

2.woods fight - would never have lost but no bodys fault cut - over 20sec!

3.naders fight - 3 callers, myself and 9 others had nader(and ive never been a fan) winning easy, poss one or two rounds lost at best
Stuff up with score cards.we and callers smell a rat,one judge calls it nader won 2 only!!!!!!

CANT REMEMBER SEEING A MORE SHAMEFUL DECISION - JOKE AND FELL SORRY FOR OLD SCHOOL MORE THAN ANYONE !

4.MEDLY - mismatch , joke

5.Dibb - mismatch , joke

6.Geale - not impressive, good work out for him which was probably the idea, his prospects in the big league,o/seas with the top of the food chain for me,i cant see it.Nice feet, good all rounder, crusie around this part of the world no prob but cant see much more in my opinion so basicly disapointing fight as well for me,karis needs heaps more work, couldnt see the fire/venim/mungle,not going much further for mine.

The nights loser was the rep of australian fight judges, and the high standard old school sets through no fault of there own took a back step.

I have just seen highlights of last nights bouts including hamdens outburst after his fight........another outburst.
Not seeing the fight myself i can only comment on the posts here and it seems like a very close fight that couldve gone either way. How long can these outbursts, directed at judges, continue before he is slapped with a suspension or fine. i would like others comments who may have heard the entire after fight interview...cheers
