I would like to see it, just to see Harrison get his head knocked off his shoulders.

And I would give him a 1% chance of victory, ha ha ha.

He's in with a chance simply as he's a natural heavyweight BUT I still fancy David heavily.. If he catches David with the shot he caught Sprott with then he'll be crowned WBA Heavyweight champion of the world.. I would pay to see it anyway, It would make compelling viewing... :TU: :TU:

A good undercard would help sell the O2 out as well..

you're right that punch would probably drop an elephant but would Haye or any other world class heavyweight go to the ropes and start exchanging punches in the final round despite being miles ahead on the scorecards?

If Haye takes this it really makes a mockery of all his grandstanding on unifying the title etc, this goes nowhere with sorting the HW division out and would just be a big domestic payday for both of them. Of course Haye would win easily. Waste of time.

i think this fight would sell big. Harrison does know how to talk up a fight and would get non boing fans interested and make it into an 'Event' if you like.

As for the fight itself i think Audley could make it interesting for a couple of rounds if he is prepared to throw some shots and actually try to win the thing..he does have some useful boxing skills lets not forget. But in all honesty the likely outcome is a 2-3 round knockout win for David Haye.

Harrison gets his long awaited World title fight, David Haye gets a to shut him up and retire him for good whilst picking up a good purse for a relatively easy defence. And we wont have to listen to Audley Harrison going on about winning the World title anymore..... Sounds like everyones a winner to me..... Lets get it on at the O2.

Then bring on the Klitschko's!

Even if Audley has the training camp of his life and comes in sharper, fitter, and faster than he ever has, while Haye spends two months gorging on chocolates and pies, A-Farce will still be outclassed and lose convincingly.

Totally.

The idea of this fight is the biggest load of bullsh*t. Fight a Klitschko. That's IT. You ran your mouth, they both want you. Get it on and fight. Anybody else, Chagaev, the Valuev rematch, Harrison: all AWFUL fights, and Harrison is the worst of them all.

I'm so BORED with this whole thing. Just fight Vitali or Wlad already.

Harrison doesn't deserve a title shot... i mean ... he wins a pub fighter tournement (Prizefighter) at domestic level and then beats a journemyman in Michael Sprott.... Harrison has never beaten a genuine top 20 Heavyweight... but nontheless... it would still do big box office in the UK.

Haye would take Audley apart in 4 or 5 rounds.
Auldey is very gunshy .... wheres Haye is very aggressive

I agree Harrison does not deserve a shot at Haye. There are only two fights of any interest in the HW division.

David Haye will lose all credibility if he accepts and considers Harrison as a worthwhile opponent.

I'd have more respect if he went out on his shield against Klitschko (Although I personally think he beats Vlad and has a chance agsint Vitali) than beats up and finally liquidates Audley)

This will be almost on a par as Bruno licking old Joe Bugner. Really didn't matter and didn't prove anything other than create an event.

if haye's not only a fighter but also a promoter, then surely he would want to promote a big event?

and winning a big event might give him leverage vs the hard to deal with, big name fighters.

one problem with haye vs either klitschko, is that they're all promoters, all know how much they're worth and all want the perfect deal that suits them more than the opponent.

To be fair, yeah he lost credibility fighting Manfredo. If I remember right, he was going to fight Glen Johnson provided he got through Clinton Woods, but Woods won and scuppered it. I remember Joe being interviewed after the fight being all grumpy about the result, saying he wasn't that impressed with either of them. Then he fought Bika and Manfredo! When I think about it now, Joe should have fought Woods AND Johnson and his resume would look a lot more credible. I wonder if he ever thinks about that?

But Calzaghe is a totally different animal to Haye, who has been a relentless self publicist and has made so much noise about wanting to fight the Klitschkos. I mean, if you think about Haye's achievements having had so few fights (4 world title belts at 2 different weights, his impressive KO record etc) he's a pretty special fighter, and to be honest I'm a big fan. But he's really painted himself into a corner. Yes, he could do with fighting a few more heavies to gain experience but unfortunately he can't do that now. He needs to fight Wlad or Vitali next or he looks like he's absolutely full of sh*t. Surely if I can see this, as a bit of a Haye 'fanboy', then surely you can too?

And both Klitschkos are beatable. I really believe that. But like Boxingchat says, even if he loses Audley will be there after wards, and to be honest I'd watch it. But like Mayweather-Pacquiao, the boxing world is bored of waiting for them to make this fight. At least they had credible alternative dancing partners in Clottey and Mosely.

Well, if a Klitschko fight can't be made right now I wouldn't mind watching Haye v Harrison - it would be a big selling event (in the U.K at least). Harrison is after all the European champion and other European champions have had world title shots throughout the years.
I think a lot of casual boxing fans would be up for this one.

A Ferrari with engine problems?

I initially stuck up for Haye facing Harrison, but I won't if the fight is in November. It's OK as a fight to keep busy, but I'm not happy with it being 1 of 2 fights in a year. Haye's activity is still very, very low.

Yeah, because what, after all, is the value in a stadium fight and millions of TV viewers?

But people want Haye to fight top opponents like he said he would. Most boxing fans don't care that a fight with Audley would make other people a lot of money and why should they? They would rather see Haye try and back his words up, after all, he is supposed to be all about the legacy and not the money.

I know that, but a Fr.ank Warren staffer complaining about a match because its sole purpose would be to make money??
