Fury Vs McDermott - seriously doubt this will happen...

Post by MacTavish »

1. Megamouth Fury seems to have said zero about this re-match (maybe he just dones't want to look stupid again?)

2. Fury failed to show for the press conference yesterday.

All seems a bit iffy for me, I don't think Fury wants this at all - he threw the kitchen sink at McDermott last time and all he did was come back strnger onto Fury - might wait till the last minute to get tickets for this one. :shame:

Agreed mate. I respect Brian Hughes but to offer the excuse for Fury that going to the press conference would disrupt his training is utter nonsense. I wouldn't mind if Fury was a finely honed machine - but he isn't.

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if this match goes ahead. I see poor Big John getting shafted without the fight this time.

If Fury ducks this, he'll lose one follower here.

John came across really well yesterday I thought.

Be a shame if he doesn't get a chance to debut his new training regime under McDonnell.

I can't see what Fury gains from ducking it either, where does he go without going past someone like McDermott.

Okay, fair enough. Perhaps a fault but I called got a "welcome to the Maloney ticket hotline" automated message, then someone picked up and said hello, I said i'd like to buy tickets and the line went dead.

Question for you - online I was quoted £4 per ticket handling fee and then a further £7.50 for postage which seems completely ridiculous. If I book from the ticket hotline can I arrange to pick the tickets up from the Brentwood Centre? Sorry to sound tight but £7.50 for postage is a joke.

Fury vs McDermott is a final eliminator for the British title.

If Fury pulls out does McDermott become the mandatory challenger?

Mate, you are a healthy, well-fed Westerner living in a country where over 200 Million people live on less than a dollar per day; you are bound to feel a bit chubby. You'd be slim if you lived in the States.
I tell you what though - you would be suprised the food some of these folks put away - every lunchtime at the canteen - they put away big bowls of rice, big bowls of noodles and side dishes and soup and steamed buns - a mountain of food (costs around 30p  ) I can't eat anything like what they eat and I am four times the size of them!

There is some gruesome poverty here though. I am in the city (a third tier city) and it is not so bad but out in the country there are some real problems with malutrition for sure.

Like I said on another thread. I was thinking around 6/4 on John to win. So 9/4 IMO is a great price. I think John will win again, but won’t believe the fight is on until Fury steps into the ring. If this fight was going to happen. It would have happened a few months ago. Lets just wait and see.
