Well, if you use that logic, Muhammad Ali wasn't much good because he lost to Berbick, who lost to Thunder, who lost to Colin Wilson!
Anyway, Beck's record flatters to deceive. For all his top-heavy win ratio and status as a former world title challenger, he's beaten flat-out NOBODY of significance.
"Well, if you use that logic, Muhammad Ali wasn't much good because he lost to Berbick, who lost to Thunder, who lost to Colin Wilson!" who lost Mirovic who both got KO'ed by Alex Leapia it's simple is this if Leapia doesn't come firing early beck will walk all over him with his jabs also has power his record speaks for it self, leapai has his home advantage looking at their rec had both fought last month so both in well condition.
Sorry because this is a Mundine card and i haven't heatd anything(haven't asked) were r u pulling information about this fight with Beck

Yeah, Beck's record speaks for itself -it speaks that he hasn't EVER beaten a rated opponent! I don't see how you can make him a favourite here. Sure, Beck has FOUGHT better opponents than Leapai, but he hasn't beaten anyone even of Leapai's standing. Plus he looks like he's settled into the journeyman role. Still, in all likelihhod he will provide a better test than 2010 Danny Williams.

Is there a minimum time for a boxer not to fight after being knocked out? Beck was KOed in four rounds on April 16 this year. In his previous fight he was stopped in 10 and had a three month break. If he fights on June 30 that will be less than a three month break.
Beck has only been defeated by a high level of opponent. One judge also thought he beat the world ranked Ray Austin and he was virtually dead even with a prime Monte Barrett before being stopped in the ninth round of a great fight. So, while he has not beaten great opponents, he has shown in the past he can compete on relatively even terms with good fighters.
Although Beck seems to be on a bit of a slide, in his second to last fight, against Manuel Charr, he was actually doing well in the early/mid rounds and possibly even leading at some point before he faded.
I don't think Beck is a horrible opponent for Leapai, certainly he is better than any other name that has appeared on his record. I don't understand why certain posters feel the need to attack this match-up. It is clearly a step up for Leapai and that's what he needs.
All that being said, it looks like there is a chance the bout might not happen.

Real big chance. I have seen no proof he is coming here. Silly Bill has no dancing partner so far either.

Not attacking the match. It's a good one for Leapai at this stage. Just don't want anyone to kid themselves into thinking Beck's credentials as a world title challenger or as someone who's LOST to world class opponents makes it a world class match. Still, better than Leapai-Williams would have been.
