While Taylor was always in control on the scorecards(well 2 of them anyway, how one of them had Chavez ahead still bewilders me), the physical damage he took in that goes to show it was a highly competitive boutChris W 1982 wrote:Watched Meldrick Taylor/Julio Cesar Chavez fight last night.
That was a mesmerising performance from Taylor. If Taylor would have held on then that would go down as a supreme masterclass.

It wasn't a one-sided performance as such, but Eubank was often dominant in the fight and Benn wasn't.Captain Hook wrote:I don't think anyone, until now, has ever described Eubank v Benn as a one sided performancecoghaugen11 wrote:Eubank didn't take a punch in the opening round of either fight, and Benn was going all-out.Deserter wrote:![]()
Were we watching the same fights?
I thought he won the first five very clearly and very easily against Watson.

I had him winning the second fight as well. To be honest, I didn't even think the first fight would be competitive, Forrest seemed to be a level above Mayorga going into that fight.Lenny wrote:Forrest won the 2nd fight imo, certainly wasn't one sidedbig lennox wrote:Vernon Forest -Ricardo Mayorga I & II
