Scotty "Bulldog" Olson and the alltime flyweight rankings

Post by MikeSchreckwins »

I don't see Scotty Bulldog Olson of Canada in the top 100 flyweights of all time or the top 200 of BoxRecs alltime rankings am I missing his name in there? Surely he belongs.

Nope

I wouldn't put any stock in the BoxRec rankings, but they have that one right.

What accomplishment of his would put him in the top 100? Losing to Michael Carbajal?

OK, Maybe Scotty Olson wasn't as good as I thought he was. His fights that I saw were entertaining anyway. I stand corrected.

He was a good fighter, Mike, if not great. I would say he was a better amateur than he was a pro. He licked Wayne McCullough in the 1988 Olympics.
