Any more live Boxing on Bravo?
Any more live Boxing on Bravo?
Does anyone know if Bravo are planning on showing anymore live Boxing?
Haven't heard anything about Bravo doing more boxing, but you would have thought they have set up Colin Lynnes v Ted Bami nicely.
Some posters have mentioned that small hall fights would go down a bomb on Bravo and I agree. Even if they showed them delayed, but could pick out the best bouts of the evening.

True mate. As I said elsewhere, Michael Hunter's trainer basically told me he would let TV cover those bills for next to nothing. Well, he actually told Tyne Tees they could do it for nowt. I hope Bravo come back to boxing. I didn't see it as I was away but I heard the presentation let them down a bit. If they need someone good looking, fashionable and knows what they are on about, they should give me a call.
Except the first two things...
Surely if everyone can sensible over money (at least to start with and see hows things go) the idea could really snowball into something very desirable.
You have the likes of Eugene Maloney, Dave Garside, Chris Sanigar, Dave Bradley to name some of the best small hall promoters. If they could all start matching their boxers with each other I don't see why there couldn't be regular shows throughout the season with very high quality/entertainment bouts.

If it's viable to put on a small hall show, surely it's viable to let a Channel like Bravo broadcast that show for peanuts? In the long-term, it has to be beneficial.
I know the Maloney shows are being shown over the net, so why not give them to T.V., for a small fee? A channel like Bravo has to bear the cost of the outside broadcast, which, as far as I'm aware, isn't too cheap, not for a channel that essentially buys shows (like the UFC), rather than broadcasts it's own, so you can hardly ask the earth, but it seems a good partnership to me.
As for Bravo, I didn't mind their coverage too much: Yes, the presenters were muppets, but you have to bear in mind the audience that Bravo usually aim for. At least we got Brennan (sp?) commentating, and Spencer Oliver and Woodhall at ringside. It's a damn good outlet, if you ask me.

Sanigar's show on Friday will be shown on BBN next week. along with the card from Norwich including Jon Thaxton. Also Derek Williams show from Hackney, with a couple of the Hennessy boys, plus two of Sanigar's Mauritians will be up tonight or tomorrow morning. We are also negotiating with other promoters to show their fights so we hope to have regular shows for you to view
