Plucky Ian Bailey tackling Carl Frampton on Friday
We all remember the great battles of the last Prizefighter but the sickened face of Ian Bailey, the reserve who missed out a £16,000 pay day on a the toss of a coin, may stay with me longer.
Ian Bailey, Prizefighter's cruelest loser, looks to upset Carl Frampton

Bit of a strange one this.
Carl Frampton's first fight against an opponent of any note and they match him with Bailey whose not half bad, and is going to be really fit coming off the prizefighter training. He's a handful anyway so this might be a tough fight for Carl.
The way they match people these days is pretty baffling.
Will be a good win for Carl, when he gets it - but I can think of easier nights after boxing all these imports.

Not seen Frampton but Bailey's 5-4 record is a little misleading he's a discplined little fighter, keeps himself tidy and is game.

Frampton is a class act. Maybe a world champion one day, based on what i've seen.

Havn't seen Bailey but "The Jackal" is being moved along fast by Barry McGuigan following an excellent amateur career and he has looked excellent in the fights I have seen of him so far. Hopefully Sky show this one, it's turning into a top quality card.

actually this card looks pretty good - of course I am biased because its got a lot of fighters that I am interested in but there are some good match ups there in my opinion.HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:sky putting on a top quality cardDeno1986 wrote:Havn't seen Bailey but "The Jackal" is being moved along fast by Barry McGuigan following an excellent amateur career and he has looked excellent in the fights I have seen of him so far. Shouldn't his management be applauded for matching him tough? Match-makers can't win, it seems.Bit of a strange one this.
