My mate bumped into him last night in a bar called Rock Bottom (trust me, it's aptly named!). Ricky was having a few scoops and was by all accounts a really nice guy, but his mates/hangers-on were a bit obnoxious.

Is Rock Bottom a sports bar that serves steak/ meat loaf, etc?
If so, they rock. It's hard to find American chains that serve decent bitter.

That's a pretty accurate description of it - live band, mixed crowd including whatever Navy ship is in town and always messy. I haven't fella - whenever I've ended up in there it's always been late in the evening when they've stopped serving food and are just concentrating on getting everyone smashed - vowed some time ago I'd never touch a 'bullfrog' again but if England win the World Cup....Poncey wrote:That's the one mate.
