European Championships
European Championships
I was not surprised by the success of the GB team - 3 silvers & 2 bronzes. I am wondering whether Russia's 7 golds were clear victories or did it help that the tournament was in Moscow?

Re: European Championships
the russians won ok. They were clearly the best. At the beginning it looked like they wouldn´t get that many gold medals and they even lost some very close and even controversial decisions but in the end their seven finalists won gold.
The biggest shock was the loss of Cammarelle. He has some serious back problems and wasn´t near the fighter he was at last years Worlds. Wonder if he can come back, it looks like he hardly can´t walk.

Yes, Cammarelle does have some serious back problems. He gets massages before his workouts to loosen up his back. This March during the USA vs Italy dual in Chicago, I noticed that he looked like a senior citizen when he was walking. He was bent over and looked like he just had back surgery or something. It is one of the reasons that he has no interest in turning pro.
