An awesome war between (IMO) the best two superfeatherweights.

Who would take this one

Alexis Arguello takes this. It would be a gr8 fight! I could see it ending in a KO around 13 rounds.

Arguello is the greatest super-featherweight ever. He made about nine defences in two minutes.

He's very close. I think he picks Nelson apart in about eleven or twelve contestable rounds, while at the same time never looking truly threatened. Nelson would run him a merry chase for a time, but I can't see him really winning.

Sometimes, Nelson is slightly over-estimated. Arguello was an absolute monster at any weight, & he was never better than at the 130lb. juncture.

Both were awesome fighters and I'm a fan of both but I see Nelson taking this one.

Arguello may have a slight power and a big reach advantage but I think Nelson's ferocity would be the deciding factor in this fight. I think Nelson could put a lot more leather on Arguello than vice versa and would eventually wear him down to win by TKO.
