there seems to be a long Q for a shot at this title limonds been in the top 4 or 5 for 3 years and overlooked, why? you'd need to ask team murray? willies now got a great opportunety against morales in Mexico City Sept 11th to focus on.

limond vs watson as an eliminator for the british was supposed to happen. and johns team tried to get on the napa hall bill in sunderland as cheif support, limond pulled out!

Limmond pulled out to fight Eric Morales. Watson would have done the sameidle talk wrote:limond vs watson as an eliminator for the british was supposed to happen. and johns team tried to get on the napa hall bill in sunderland as cheif support, limond pulled out!

Billy, we asked for the fight. Alex Morrison will tell you.billy nelson wrote:yes the fight was meant to happen with willie and john or his team didnt want it, is that not the case?d wrote:Gone?leeharding wrote: think murrey and mitchell would wipe the floor with him very easily your forgetting gethin had him gone so imagine wat murrey would do i think limond fight maybe foster jr then step up but good luck watever john does i hope he does well
He was tired, heavy legged and got caught with a good shot in the dying moments of a step up from 4 to 10 rounds in his 10th fight. Against a fighter with a 15-1-1 record.
If he was gone he wouldn't have got through it.
To be fair, not many prospects would take that kind of step up.
It was a great learning fight and i think that the fact he took on Ben Murphy at the last minute and beat him shows he's on the right path.
The problem is we've tried to make the fight with Limond and quite a few others but nothing is happening.
So if its Murray so be it.
If not then we'd take anyone else for the vacant. Kevin Mitchell, Alex Arthur and Limond included.
Watson would rather take the challenge of a top fighter and risk losing than to pad his record out for another ten fights against fellas that come to 'have a go' or just survive.
But Willie was injured and not available for the eliminator to happen on the sunderland show.
Next thing he has a bigger engagement with Morales so won't be taking part in the eliminator.
So yes we would LOVE that fight, but obviously fighting Morales at this time is a great opportunity for Willie and the way his career has gone he can't turn that down to fight a prospect in an eliminator so i understand.
But after Willie has fought we would love to do the fight.

John Watson should be fighting for British title next. I think he can Mitchell who is so overrated.

would willie want to fight watson if he beat morales? either way willie broke his wrist and couldn't fight watson,so in my eyes watson should get a straight shot at murray or fight for the vacant title if murray gives it up.d wrote:Billy, we asked for the fight. id would give john a real good chance against anybody domestically right now hes a very good fighter got the skill to give any of them problems and he hits pretty hard aswell hes just not getting the breaks at the moment but when he does i fancy him to make the step up
