Could be huge and I do respect him..

I can see peoples views for thinking he'll beat me and on paper it looks like he'll hammer me but I feel I have what it takes to take people out at 175.. We'll see though, Rivalries in domestic boxing is a good thing it really is and with the right media exposure there are a few that could turn out to be massive in this country, Ie Haye V Harrison , Khan V Hatton etc etc..

Thanks again for the support guys.. :TU:

FWP will probably keep them apart till it becomes very apparent that one of them isn't going to cut it then will pitch them together after the fight has lost all its ???. Thats the way unfortuantely.

Hard to say how far either will go based on what we've seen thus far but some very respected trainers swear by Bellew so thats good enough for me. Would like to see you in relevant matches Tony, but not a lot you can do about it right now.

That excuse of their being not a lot he can do about it is what I am starting to have issue with. Surely if this goes on more people will start to wonder when Bellew is going to actually step up. Say what you want about Clev, he has fought much better opposition than Bellew. Until Bellew steps up, he should not be included in conversations alongside Cleverly. I don't think Bellew is a bad fighter at all, but just very unproven as we can all agree. A million excuses about people not wanting to fight him won't change that view.

So, you'd like him to completely skip the domestic scene and go straight for the biggest fights, is that what you're saying?

No, but there is only so much time that you can get away with the excuse of "nobody wants to fight me". My point is, that excuse has an expiry date and we are getting close to that date. Do you think he should stay at domestic level and fight overmatched imports for the next 20 fights? At some stage he has to step up and not be as happy to beat these guys as he is. Really, it's not much of an achievement so I don't understand his celebrations after beating them. In saying that, he has plenty of potential and could go far. He just shouldn't be mentioned alongside the proven Cleverly at this stage.

Who do you believe he should look at fighting then? Who would be a step-up (domestically)?

The 'excuses' are valid as long as people keep avoiding him.

He can't rely on other fighters to make his career. He has to fight better opposition to be taken seriously as a contender. Surely you agree? The guys he is fighting are worse than substandard.

He could fight Mcintosh? Or if Bellew is more confident why not step up and fight a good european fighter. A win over a decent european level fighter would open more doors. Or does he have to beat some domestic opposition before he will go for european level? he already has the commonwealth, which he won against a less than stellar opponent. If people don't want to fight him, then he should look for better challenges rather than sit around doing nothing and fighting nobodies.

I think he should look for bigger fights. This is where wankwarren comes in. However, the fighter takes the blame for not fighting better opposition too... look at Hattons 40-0 job, in the last 2-3 years of that, everyone was calling for him to step up but warren was blamed for the reason why he didn't. it's all to convenient to blame warren though. the fighter has to step up and demand the fights to be taken seriously in my book.

i personally think you would stop him tony just politic's get involved and the fight wont happen for a long time. the thing is he is european and british so his next step will be world were you want his belt's as your next step so it wont happen till you both become world class in the boxing world's eye's :box:

I like both Nathan and Tony, as fighters.

Would be some fight, we can see how it turns out.

The thing is with Mitchell out of the equation, Warren has the Olympians, Tony and Nathan. Not sure he would be keen to match up 2 of his best fighters for the forseeable future. Just my opinion, of course :TU:

Would be a great fight but it is way off, we've had this thread a few times.

Clev is on the brink of world class and Tony needs to make his mark in Europe and domestically. Both guys are class acts, and Bomber's responses on here tell you all you need to know about him. He knowsd he's still learning but with his poweer, his attitude and solid basics (with no little skill) he can go far...

The fact he comes on here and is humble - given the fact he's sparking guys out within a few rounds and looking the business - is terrific....

I'd be a right big head if it were me :)

Bellew and Cleverly are both really good fighters but I feel Tony has the edge in alot of things and I think he can stop Cleverly
