Apparently Simpson-Smith is off

Post by Jeff Thomas »

Another show Cancelled?

How unfair is it on Billy Nelson and John Simpson. Inactive since december and poor Burns has had his fight with Martinez off and on more times then....

Shame for all involved obviously- maybe Franks mates on here can answer whats going on?

IS FWP in trouble?

What are you doing at the moment then, mate? Foot off the gas for two or three weeks and then start another training cycle?

Yeah mate, I'll spend time with my young family and live life like a normal man for a fortnight then go back into camp, Possibly abroard for the next camp?? Like I said though Frank will make an announcement soon and it's great news for all his fighters I can assure you all of that, Franks fighters will be seen a lot more come September.. :TU:

Why shouldn't he say it?
The original post asked would Stephen take the fight, the person (apart from me) that knows him most has give his answer and you reply with that!

So I will also agree and say Stephen will fight any featherweight on the planet. Did it as an amateur and would do it now - win lose or draw - Choi isn't as feared as some would believe :TU:

agreed, stephen would school choi they way willie limond did a few years ago.granted choi's strong but that alone is not enough you need skill and intellegence likescott harrison people so undersetimated his ring awarness ect.

Gutted over this postponement but got to deal with these things in boxing. Good thing is the fight is still on and we will still be fighting in September. Cant wait.

As for all these Choi shouts...I would fight him, I will fight any featherweight

wont beat simpson and would not beat choi both are seasond pros who have fought 12 rounds many times and can deal with the pressure of the championship fights and know how to pace themselfs im afraid it a case of to much to soon

Well you obviously have a hidden agenda - A new user and your first post was to recommend Choi as an opponent, second was to dismiss Stephen's chances of beating either.

Choi is a far easier fight than Simpson - All Choi has is his dig and strength. He can be EASILY out boxed.
Simpson is a better fighter all round, and he may have done 12 rounds on many occasions but he hasn't won one of them.

Pacing yourself isn't as hard to do when you're a fit kid naturally which Stephen is, as anyone who's seen him train will admit.
