No offence to Steed, but I hope Francis stuffs him. Then retires. Steed's obviously looking for the last vestiges of a big name to get him back on track after the loss to gammer. It will be quite interesting. In a sort of I shouldn't look but I can't resist sort of way.

Hey Stu, do you know if Steed gave Gammer any trouble. Didn't he give him some nose damage?

Dan-Knee Williams!

Post by HeavyHitters »

I thought I saw Danny Williams working at Burger King last weekend......

He got so lucky against Tyson, he should change his name to "Dan-knee" Williams!

Steed performed well against Gammer by all accounts, can't see him losing to what is essentially just an immovable punchbag now.

I thought Julius Francis had retired?

Bit of useless trivia, both Francis and Steed have in the past fought on unlicensed bills in the UK.

That I did not know, could you expand on that in any way. When were was this, and who did they fight?

Why is Jules still fighting?

He got half a mil if you include the newspaper on the soles of his feet in the Tyson fight. He's had some decent paydays at European level too. These fights hes having now can only be for a grand at best (if that).

Doesnt he have the money now to take up studio analysis or something? Hes a lot more articulate than Derek Williams. At 40 and with 20 losses you'd think that anyone withhalf a brain would say "fornicate me i'm finished".

Wouldn't Francis lose his pro license for fighting on an unlicensed bill?.
He really should quit its reaching the stage where, no disrespect, but its embarrasing to watch him and I don't see this part of his career doing him any favours healthwise in the years to come.

Julius Francis fought on an unlicenced bill whilst still an amatuer and as Knockout rightly says got kicked out of the ABA's because of it.

I understand before turning 'BBBofC Pro' Steed fought on unlicensed bills, Essex way I think but may be wrong.

Just a minor point here, I thought Francis only got about £500 for the boot soles advert?
