How Many of These Legends Are Still Alive?

Post by DanMuscato »

On Tuesday, June 23,1942 Cleveland News sponsored a boxing card billed "MacArthur Bomber Fight Show", which drew some 25,000 fight fans at the Cleveland Stadium.
This card featured 5 ten round bouts that pitted the following combatants:
Harry Bobo vs. Melio Bettina, Jimmy Bivins vs. Joey Maxim, Lem Franklin vs. Joe Muscato, Anton Christoforidis vs. Johnny Colan, Maxie Shapiro vs. Henry Teaney.

Question is: How many of these legends are still alive and can anyone assist me in making contact with any of them or their families.

Bivins is still alive and in pretty good health. I just saw him in June at teh Hall of Fame.

Contact Jeff Brophy at http://www.ibhof.com and maybe he can help.
